Good evening! I saw your comment on about creating a piece of artwork inspired by Jay and Kiera from both of my Chicago PD books. First of all, I want to thank you for your sweet offer & I’m flattered that someone is willing to turn my writing into a work of art. I included pictures of Jay and Kiera in the “Cast” chapters of the books so that readers know what the characters look like. 
          
          Here are some ideas that I pulled from both of my CPD books: 
          
          End of Chapter 3 (Rescue Dive) book #1: Jay and Kiera are sitting at the kitchen island after the rescue dives. Kiera is eating a bowl of ice cream and Jay is drinking a bottle of water. They have a short conversation and that is when he gives her the nickname, champ. 
          
          Chapter 9 (The Last Dance) of book #1: Jay escorts Kiera to her last Father-Daughter military dance. It’s a formal event, so they dance up like a Homecoming school dance. They share a slow dance to the song, ‘Cinderella’ by Steven Curtis Chapman. I included pictures of Kiera’s dress & hairstyle, along with Jay’s suit in the chapter if that’ll help with the artwork. 
          
          Beginning of Chapter 4 (Settle the Score #1) of book #2: Jay, Kiera, & the rest of Intelligence are at a party to get info on a new drug supplier. It turns out the guy’s name is Garrett and he has history with Jay from years ago. When he and Kiera try to leave the party in a hurry, Garrett ends up spotting Jay and they have a standoff. Kiera catches Garrett’s eye and Jay defends her from him since he’s notorious. This chapter was inspired by episode is S6,E12 of Chicago PD if you want to learn more from the episode.

One of Jay’s qualities that I admire about his character on the show is how chivalrous he is & how he can get protective of any woman (Erin, Hailey, Kim, & any one episode teen girls characters). So, I really wanted to expand that characteristic into a father-daughter relationship. With that being said, you can start by creating an illustration for the beginning of Chapter 4 (Settle the Score #1) of CPD book #2 with Jay defending Kiera from Garrett. Feel free to pull details & dialogue from that chapter, as well as watch the S6,E12 episode
