started watching this new k drama called love next door and im actually obsessed ME WHEN

in a country like india, where domestic violence was considered 'normal' for so many years (and still is in a lot of rural parts of the country) watching young girls say things like 'ryle is better' or how 'lily was the red flag not ryle' is actually making me sad. and this is exactly why you shouldn't be promoting books/movies about domestic violence like a rom-com. in the theaters over here, they're actually calling it a 'love story'. and social media is definitely not helping. books like these are VERY impressionable, especially on young girls and it makes me mad watching blake lively say things like get your florals and your besties and watch this movie. PLEASE take a moment to actually understand what the book/movie is about and stop glorifying abuse. AND if you're young, please do not read books that are labelled as 'dark romance' or anything that says it's only for 18+ readers, there's a reason you shouldn't be reading them.
