I really hate the Boys of Tommen fandom, and sometimes I'm really embarrassed to be part of it. Like please why??

Has anyone else seen the post about the Boys of Tommen cast being released? I think the casting is about as accurate as it realistically can be. While the actors may not match the book descriptions perfectly, it’s not always possible to find exact fits.
          
          As long as they can act well and the show doesn’t get “Americanised,” and stays as faithful to the books as possible, I’m fine with it.
          
          I’ve looked through the comments and didn’t see a single reasonable or positive one.

Did your BOT binding 13 book get deleted? Was it the one where the girls mom was a nurse and her dad died and shannon is dating Finn? (I forgot the main characters name I’m sorryyyy)

Why is it that the moment finals are around the corner and I really need to study… my brain suddenly decides it’s the perfect time to come up with a million fanfiction ideas? 
          
          Not only that, but now I’m even tempted to completely rewrite my own story??
          
          Like girl… please. We have exams to pass. Focus.

I’m currently working on a George Weasley fanfic and I’m so excited about it! I’ve already finalised the tropes and character backgrounds, outlined part of the story, and even completed the first two chapters, and I’m already in love with it.
          
          I won’t start uploading until at least one full part is finished, and I’ll be doing the same for my Joey Lynch fanfic as well, whose first part is almost finished.

So it looks like Rainy Days has been deleted…

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve been trying to publish the next chapter of Rainy Days for almost a week now, and it just won’t go through. I even tried uploading a not finished bonus chapter of Adoring 13 to see if the issue was on my end, but that didn’t work either.

I love fanfiction, and I love writing it.  But taking a fanfic, making a few superficial changes, stripping away anything that clearly ties it to the original, and then publishing it as a “new” book, while still marketing it as former fanfiction, just doesn’t sit right with me. 
          
          Personally, it’s starting to take some of the joy out of reading books.
          
          I genuinely admire fanfic writers and the incredible talent in that community. But instead of reworking existing fanfiction for traditional publishing, why not give these writers contracts to create something entirely original? 
          
          I’m confident that many fanfic authors are more than capable of building their own worlds and stories from scratch.
          

I GOT MY FAIRYLOOT EDITIONS OF BOYS OF TOMMEN!!! I knew it was now or never because those resellers would ask for ridiculous prices for these books once they are delivered.

Just finished outlining my Joey Lynch fanfic that will start from Saving 6 and finishes at the end of Taming 7. Can't wait to start writing it.
