I'm starting to get pretty excited about the ACQUIRED: reWIRED edition. It's been a few years since it was published in its far more graphic and explicit form, and I've grown as a storyteller enormously since then.
The most surprising thing about making some edits and adjustments for the Wattpad audience is that I think it's actually gotten SEXIER while becoming less explicit. Yeah, I know. That's like erotica 101, Solar. How'd you get this far not knowing that?
Well I KNEW it but... eh. Easier said than done. I'm a way better writer now. And I'm glad this is coming out. I relish spending time on it between the rest of the things in my life.
Pretty excited about this - while the eroticism of the ACQUIRED series certainly got me some attention, I think it's also limited the audience for something that's gotten pretty high praise as a straight up sexy cyberpunk thriller.
So now it is going to exist that way as well. For the time being it's free on Wattpad, being serialized a little at a time. The changes will be pretty minor at first, but expect a few surprises. I'm not removing the X-rated material without putting something else in that's jsut as good and continues to benefit the story.
