Hii!! I just read in your bio you're a dentistry student, do you think i should pull my wisdom teeth out? because dental care costs an arm and a leg tbh

Hi babes!
Yes I get it
So i’m gonna nerd out a little bit but contrary to popular belief, you don't need to get your wisdom teeth pulled out unless:
1- they’re gonna be shifting your teeth, which your Dr should be assessing your bite or OPG to determine that
2- they’re impacted
3- their roots will damage the second molar’s roots, which also leads your Dr back to the OPG to assess that
If these cases aren’t true then you can delay or not get them removed.
However, they are really hard to brush, which makes them prone to decay, and dentist have a really hard and probably impossible time extracting cavities from wisdom teeth.
So moral of the story just give your wisdom teeth some extra care to not have to remove them, at least not now.
