So I'm interested in writing my own original story but I don't have any ideas, yet. Which means I'm lacking motivation and I need some guidance on how you guys get ideas.

My suggestion -this might be terrible advice DONT quote me- write the back stories of the characters, who they are friends with, who they don’t like. I would also write the summary of the story first.
Again don’t quote me the only thing I’ve written is a teen Wolf fanfiction
