Hi!
I would like to address a recent event. Donald Trump has been elected president of the United States. On November 8, 2016, it was discovered that 59,400,000 people believe in at least some of his ideas, and, honestly, that terrifies me. It scares me that the American people are so completely filled with hate and fear that they felt they needed to vote for this racist, sexist, homophobic, nationalist, etc man whom, and I know this is harsh, but I believe is a complete and utter bigot. Now, he is one of the most powerful people in the world. I have racked my mind to find the good in this situation, and the only thing I have been able to think of is this quote on Pinterest I read the other day saying, “Don’t fear the monster; fear the thing that created it.” As you can see, I have been fearing Donald Trump and his values, the obvious monster, but I need to readjust my perspective to see the bigger picture, even if anger makes me reluctant to do so. I think that will take time. But, even though I do believe that we need to identify the “monster” that prompted so many of us to vote for Donald J. Trump, at the moment I am more disappointed than words than convey in the United States. I no longer want to be an American. I do not want to be a part of a country that fears everyone except for white men. But, this is not our country this is not what our morals or constitution states. We are courageous, accepting, honest, diplomatic, innovators. So thank you to those who voted for Hillary Clinton. No matter which party you are aligned with, let’s fight for an America where EVERYONE feels included and cherished. Thank you for reading this little rant. Please comment your thoughts!

P.s. Sorry, this is very jumbled.
