What. Is. Happening.

Today is the day that the Senate approves the electoral votes for a new president. We discussed that in history. We knew it would be different from the other years since this year has already been so odd in so many ways. But I never would've thought of this.

I was at play rehursal and was looking through people's stories on Instagram. I clicked on my friend's story and saw a news report that trump supporters were storming the capitol. They were smashing in windows, breaking through police baracades, and trying to disrupt the count.

          	A woman was shot.

          	She is dead.

I'm in high school. I'm supposed to read about things like this in history, not live it. I am so angry. I never thought this would happen. This is a nightmare. A group of toddlers throwing a fit that they lost.

When BLM protests marched in the streets, unarmed, peacefully protesting the unjust killings of poc they were met with rubber bullets and tear gas.
When trump supporters marched on the capitol with guns, climbing the walls and defacing offices, they are met with none of that.

I am so sick and tired of it here. My focous should be passing my classes, not watching political chaos unfold as I'm just trying to live my life.

To be honest, I'm not sure what the current protestors' motives are, and it's hard to tell anyone's real motives when tensions are so high.

          	  However.

I'm not sure you appreciate all that BLM supporters did. Sure, some of them were peaceful. But definitely not all of them, and not even most of them. In Kenosha, WI, for example, over 100 businesses were damaged by rioters and over 40 were destroyed, totalling over $50 million in repairs. And before you say that insurance will cover it, know that the insurance companies don't create money out of thin air—taxes in Kenosha will skyrocket to cover the damage done to their formerly peaceable town.

Not defending the current protestors; just trying to make sure you've got all the facts.

Ok so yall know how much I love the tlt musical. I've posted about it several times.

But honestly that musical does not do George Salazar justice.

If you wanna hear more of him (the guy that plays grover), then go listen to Be More Chill. I reccomend the broadway version.

Also, BMC a very 13+ musical. I wouldn't recommend listening to it if you're super young. It has some more...mature lyrics and topics. So I wouldnt recomend listening to it if you're under 13. Even then, if you are an innocent 13 year old, dont listen to it. Only do it of you are ok with listening to some more mature themes.

Hey everyone.
If any of you have seen the news, or been on almost any social media platform recently, you've probably seen the Black Lives Matter movements that have been happening all over the country. The protests all over the country that started as peaceful.
This should not be happening. Society should be in a place where everyone is treated equal. But it's not. Society still holds onto the racism of our past and refuses to move forward. No one should have to fear for their life over something they can't control. No one should be discriminated against because of their skin color.
          White privilege is real.
          But it shouldn't be.
People should all be equal, regardless of skin color. And they are. But the world cant seem to realize that.
The protests all over the country began as peaceful, and some have stayed that way. There was a Black Lives Matter march in my hometown, and the only way the Police were involved was by blocking off the streets the protesters were on so they wouldnt have to worry about any cars getting in their way. But not everywhere is as lucky. In other places the protests were peaceful, but turned violent when tear gas was used on innocent protesters. Can we talk about that for a second? Innocent people, fighting for equality, were met with rubber bullets and tear gas. While armed people marched on government buildings, protesting a virius, and were met with praise from the president. That's messed up.

@LightAva231 there are several misconceptions about those crimes. Protesters have been recounting what happened from a first-hand point of veiw, and not all of those crimes have been done at the hands of protesters. Yes, some of then were, but not all. The riots in Minneapolis are by far the most violent so far, I wont deny it, but several witness accounts have shown that the protesters didnt start the violence. As for the battery assault and attempted murder, it's sad to say but the police are also at fault. I have nothing against police officers,I know the sacrifices they make for their jobs, but I am against police brutality. Which has been actively displayed in these protests. I mean no disrespect by any of this, all I am trying to do is shed some light on this topic and bring it to people's attention

@sophie_potter98 But are we going to instantly forget that protesters are wracking up crimes? Throwing fire bombs, Arson. Looting stores, thievery, battery assault and attempted murder. We just going to forget about that.

All lives are equal.
It's about time that they were treated that way.
I know there isn't much someone like me can do. I hold no power in society. Not alone. But if we can get this message to spred across Wattpad, like it has on other sm platforms, maybe we can bring more light to this. So please, spread this message. Make sure others know what's going on. If nothing else we can do that. Post something about this in a story or message board. Try to raise awareness. Tag me in it if you want to, or don't. I just want to see the impact we can all make together. If you have any ideas of an action to take that your need help with, please pm me. I'm going to start working to raise funds that will go towards several BLM nonprofits. Together we can make a change.

Hey my bros! What's up? I just wanted to come in here and say something real quick. I'm really sorry for not updating recently, it's been a while and I feel kinda bad about it. But, I swear it'll be worth it.
The next chapter will probably be a bit shorter (I still havent been able to write much), but it'll still be worth the wait.
The main reason I've been waiting is when I do update I plan to make a few announcements. I want to fully introduce you to one of the projects that's taking so much time, instead of just these vague hints. I also plan to make a change to Tourment that I want to be able to announce. I figured it would be best to wait to update until I have everything ready for the announcement(s) (that way people wont be getting mad at me for putting out an update that's not a chapter after this long of a break).
Thanks again for your patience everyone, I really appreciate it :). I really hope you agree that it's worth it.

(One more thing: Tourment was #3 on the Sophitz tag for a week straight. What the heck guys? This is amazing. I love all of you. Thank you for getting it this far even if I have been dropping the ball. Idk if I deserve this. I love y'all (: )

Ok, um, I just saw this person talking about how Jason hates Percy, then they continued to justify why he hates him. And if that's how you interpreted it then that's fine. But I just wanna say: Jason does not hate Percy. Sure, they weren't particularly found of each other in the beginning, but that definitely doesnt mean they hate each other. When they first met they had a little rivalry between each other, sure, but that's to be expected. They're both leaders from their camps, and when two leaders are put on the same team it makes sense that they'll argue for a while. But they both, like good, true leaders, dont let it last long. They get over themselves pretty quickly and start to try to learn from each other, as any good leaders do. They put their pride aside, and find a way to work together so that they can help the group. They start picking up on each other's strengths and using it to better themselves. Sure, they could've been jealous of each other's accomplishments, but that is normal. I truly believe that after they figure out how to adapt to working together, they became good friends. They both have similar experiences and can relate to each other in ways no one else could. (And as for the "but Jason is too perfect hes 2d" argument, I can completely go off about that too. But that's for another time). They seriously would benefit from being around each other and I dont think either of them would ignore that.
In summary: No, they dont hate each other. It just took some adapting, which is understandable.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk :)
