For your lesbian love story, you should change it so that it's her dads adopted daughter that she hasn't met before. Then in the next book write about how they go to college together and Heather hasn't been with another girl/lost her virginity to a guy and is just all around curious about everything and starts to go a little crazy in college. She talks about how Anna has been with another girl, but Anna was her first lesbian crush and elaborate (go back in time kind of thing) on how they first met and how it felt. Dig deep into those emotions!!
