I’m at 6k words and I fear I don’t see the end in sight would you rather this be cut short to get a chapter sooner, or wait for a longer chapter? Or u can just tell me unpublish the whole thing and that’s fine

madelynclineismymom

LONGER!!! I love how long your chapters are plssssss

Honestly, telling yourself it’s okay to write badly. I know that sounds counterproductive but I saw a quote once that said, “the first draft is for telling yourself the story, the second draft is for making the story more interesting, and the third is for polishing.” Essentially, it’s okay to have perfectionism, but know when to turn it on and off, if that makes sense. Don’t beat yourself up if the first draft isn’t what you want it to be, just let the words flow and know you can always improve it later. I hope this helps! And just know, I think you are a great writer. <3
