Cat's fact of the day: the giant spider trope in fantasy novels/movies/games was started by JRR Tolkein, as he was bitten by a large spider as a child and had a continual fear of them throughout his life (even though he always denied the giant spiders had anything to do with his childhood trauma)

Cat's fact of the day: bomber jackets are double sided. The outside is a grey/green colour for camouflage, and the inside is bright orange and can be seen from the air over an island in case the pilot is ejected in an emergency and needs to signal for help.
