late night rambles
          
          if i had one big complaint about my current stories, it's definitely that i chose to tie my most popular story, Infected days, so deeply into both Assassins creed. if i could go back, i would write out direct connections to both to make the thing more original
          
          for instance Diane and cocheta would probably stay the same, but not directly be the characters from road of the dead 2, the mutants would also probably stay but not be direct tie in.
          
          the biggest thing however would be removing all the direct references to Assassins, and Abstergo and templars and all that
            
          I can't really go back and write most of this out, I've recently picked up that first chapter rewrite (which is looking like I'm just combining the first two chapters into one much better and readable chapter) and plan to cut a lot of direct references to RofD2 but the assassins creed stuff is too essential to the plot, without it the main character has no real reason to be the way they are, nor does the current main villain have reason to hate him so much. i could try rewriting him as just a generic assassin to explain his skills and find some other reason to have the villain be villaining but i don't feel like it would be as smooth.  
          
          going forward i'll be leaning less into the crossover territory to be slightly more creative and try to phase it out, but it's impossible to remove completely in my opinion (the prequel series, if i ever get around to it, will also cut out a lot of the references)
          
          there's also the acknowledgement that a good portion of the readers might've made their way there because of the Assassins creed tie in, so leaning away could hurt it, but honestly nobody cares that much about my disaster of a writing hobby anyway (i'm willing to bet most of the views are on the first couple of chapters, and then start to dip as those first several chapters aren't very good, hence the rewrite plans)
          
          anyway, I've made decent progress on the rewrite (tbc in comment)

so i just lost my attempted rewrite of the first chapter of infected days for the second time because my laptop randomly  decided to turn off over night and I'm too stupid to just open a new thing so i can save the draft and copy paste it later. anyway that was a huge blow to my motivation so probably won't work on that for a while. might try to push some new chapters of various stories though, no promises, i do this as a hobby and writers block is a bitch

In honor of halo infinite releasing tomorrow. And mostly due to the fact i will probably have to wait while campaign downloads. I am going to attempt to get a bonus chapter of anesidora out either today or tomorrow. 
          
          Been playing, watching, and reading a LOT of halo in my hype for infinite. So that's where most of my writing motivation and ideas are at. Will update other stories as I find motivation. 

going to do my best to push out a new chapter of a couple different stories. particularly halo anesidora and infected days.
          
          on another note for any of you who read the halo story, i might be doing a rework of some earlier chapters, and be adding a new chapter 1. it probably won't be anything major so no need to go reread the old chapters to find changes, unless you want to that is

so I was just reading through the first few chapters of infected days and cringed 
          
          I think I'm going to rewrite the first few chapters, probably won't change much so you probably don't need to reread them.
          
          this side project might delay new chapters of stuff though

Writing around actual historical events is hard

would any of yall like to read a halo fanfic i'm thinking about writing?
          
          i ask, knowing no one will respond or probably even reads these, while also knowing i have too many stories going already, and that i barely update those any more

          Hello everyone who still gives a crap bout this profile, tis i, lord of salt, here with another pointless announcement 
          
          I hope to get the newest chapter of infected days out with in the next week or so, as the chapter Is almost finished 
          
          As well i may  be starting work on a story I thought up but never actually started writing, which is infected days: origins (or something like that) which follows our main characters through the first 5 months of the apocalypse, which i have skipped over in the main book
          
          Also, due to a recent interest/obsession with 3 fallout, i may start a new book, following the protagonist of fallout 3, the lone wanderer, through a story that will be based on the main quest-line of the game, along with some side stuff, all of which will be mixed up and edited so itbisn’t just a straight up retelling of the the game, along with some original stuff, so maybe look forward to that in the future
          
          I may do this all, or i may do some, or none at all, because I know myself

          I've currently got a new story in the works, but knowing me i'll either run ut of ideas or forget to publish it or publish it but then not update it for multiple months.
