Hello, "Windsor Lane" readers! I've extended the story a little to enter the Wattys contest, so if you added the story to your library, you might be seeing some updates. The structure is still the same, but there are some edits throughout and a significant addition at the end of chapter 8 and most of chapter 9 (a new semi-spicy chapter titled "Seek Your Own Pleasure") which you might be interested in reading. Here's a sneak peek:
          
          “I highly doubt Thomas will ever be able to please you if you don’t know how to please yourself.”
          I choked on my own saliva. “I need you to teach me how to please Thomas, not the other way around.”
          She shrugged one shoulder. “Regardless, you ought to know how to seek your own pleasure. Even self-absorbed men usually enjoy believing they are good at sex.”
          “I don’t think Thomas is extremely worried about my, er, pleasure.” I attempted a chuckle after, as if to say ‘Aren’t men so funny?’ or maybe even ‘Boys will be boys!’
          Scarlett didn’t sound amused. “Then why in the world are you so worried about pleasing him?”
          “Well, I’m married to him.”
          “He’s married to you, too.”
          
          There's also a pretty big addition in chapter 11, but it's meeting Richard, and while I felt like it would add a little to the narrative for first-time readers, it's probably not of interest to those who already finished reading the story.

The good news: my baby #2 is here, healthy, and happy
          The not-so-good news: I had some health crises during/after the birth that are still unresolved, resulting in twenty days in the hospital and more to come
          
          That pushed back our intended finish date for "Granny Thayer, Demon Slayer" (plus @SophieKestrel also spent ten days in the hospital recently!), but we finally finished this wild ride of a story! Double-update of "Granny Thayer, Demon Slayer" today! Chapter 24 is titled "I Don't Think You're Ready for the Takedown," and Chapter 25 (two sentences) is "Must Make the Woohoo." 
          
          Excerpt from chapter 24: 
          Fazir flipped the page with the polling numbers over to expose today’s newspaper article. It was an especially good one this time, detailing a valiant battle Fazir had waged against a zombified tractor in order to save a town a few days ago. The details may have been ever-so-slightly embellished. In fact, it had actually been one of Fazir’s knights who took on the rogue tractor while Fazir stood a safe distance away. But no one needed to know that. After all, Fazir was the one who had hired said knight—which was basically the same thing as Fazir defeating the tractor himself. Wasn’t it?

A few meters away, Saya was curled in a fetal position, her silky hair fluttering as she snored. Jiggles had already been napping, as he had been unimpressed by the dialogue in this chapter, but he opened his eyes to mew indignantly at the toxic fumes and gave the smoke a lazy swipe with his paw before falling back asleep.

          For those of you who started this story long ago, we promise all the silliness and heart from the start, and we also promise not to leave you hanging this time (or at least we strongly hope we won't, and we are already close to the end in draft-form). For those who haven't checked out the story, here's a quote from this chapter that gives you a little taste for the satirical drama you will encounter.
