An ode to my unborn children, an essay collection, which is a sophisticated way of saying a collection of my rants is now out on Wp. I plan on completing it by the month end, I'm sorta confident about this because I've completed 4 full chapters over the weekend, I've got around 20 more to write. "Isn't someone from the UN on your panel?" Karlie inquired. "Come on Karlie, it's been twelve years since they separated the organization for women to focus on 'gender equality'" he made quote marks in the air as he said this, "Why do you think they decided to go this way? The aim was to concentrate much of their efforts and funding on issues the majority of the world leaders thought were important, like oil wars. They created a constitutional database in 2013, but we still live in a world where women are second class citizens in many of the member nations. It's a farce."
          
          Karlie agreed silently, she thought about her Kasey, young healthy women were dying in first world countries for the want of a chemical that was naturally produced by certain plants, groups of people were abducting and trafficking women straight off streets, Karlie remembered the "Boko Haram" kidnappings, the UN had condemned the kidnappings and then people had marched, most of the girls never came back home, the world went back to being 'normal'. Maybe this was payback, had western 'first-world' countries thought they were better off because no one kidnapped their daughters in broad daylight.

          It had been an unmistakable call for action, and her sisters had shown up. Sofia remembered well, her sisters had not needed asking, when more than two thirds of a gender suffered, the state had unwittingly created a sisterhood that would now challenge the very basics of the state's existence. Madam Julia's act was an ignition, she had started the fire, she had divided the choices into clear black and white, burn or be burnt. Sofia still wondered if the outcome would be any different had Julia warned them somehow.

          In a curious case of art follows life an life imitates art, this book is the art imitates life kind. All the acts of violence that take place in the book are commonplace in the society today. The incidents that affect our protagonists, or basically the premise of this book is all based on real-life incidents. Gender based violence is so common in our world that, it is considered a norm. There are multiple accounts on Instagram asking for the normalization of rape, wife-beating and removal of women from all walks of lives. All of this makes me think that if there were a technology that would allow babies to be born outside the bodies of women, there would be no women in the world. The war on women is an ongoing one, the acts of which we do not seem to recognize often.
