I just finished AEASF, and I enjoyed reading it. Not a lot, but I was really invested in it at the start. It really piqued my interest since epistolary siya, and mabilis lang siyang basahin.
          
          My main issues were the choices made at the end.
          
          Mykel, as a character, was predictable. Sa una pa lang, I could already see his obsession with Alastair and what he was capable of doing, kaya hindi na ako nagulat sa ending. I mean, from the very beginning, he was already showing signs of being manipulative. Even while he was acting all sweet with Alastair, I could still see that side of him.
          
          Though I'm not really a fan of the sexual assault. I don't know why it was necessary to add it, but I honestly didn't like that part (although, mas ayoko yung nangyari kay Kenneth, we'll get to that later). Was it added to further show his obsession? To prove that he's willing to do anything and show just how unhinged he is? For shock value?
          
          Though I'm not surprised that he did that. It's a typical trope in stories, after all. That an obsessed person is capable of sexually assaulting the person they claim to love. So I was actually expecting something else.

@penmystique i agree! the story itself has potential but they really had to ruin it just to add a "dark" plot kuno.

            I actually think Tristan suddenly wanting Kenneth in the Special Chapter came out of nowhere. There wasn't any hints or buildup for it in the story, so the reveal didn't really work for me.
            
            Saka, Alastair's character suddenly got softer. It felt like the story skipped a few chapters because bigla na lang siyang naging close kay Kenneth (with matching nicknames pa nga silang dalawa), and he became too emotional too quickly.
            
            For me, his character development felt rushed. He softened up too fast, and I think the story needed more scenes to show how that change happened. As it is, the transition felt too sudden.

di ko alam kung ano thought process while writing AEASF, but everything that was built was js put to vain bcs of how terrible the ending was. im not into dark romance shit, i js decided to gave this genre a try. ive read multiple stories that are within this genre and i can say that theyre good and im def not against of it. but this story somehow, still ended up relying on rape and sexual assault as a plot device just to prove how “dark” it is. 
          
          icl, the story also seems to normalize rape, sexual assault against male victims, especially within the modeling industry. its basically the whole obsessed fan x artist type shit dynamic taken to an uncomfortable extreme.
          
          dark themes can be written well, but using sexual violence as a shortcut for shock value para lang may masabing plot twist kuno and that the mc, mykel, is a manipulative, obssessive, terrible person, is js lazy writing.
          
          i appreciate the warnings and everything, but those were useless as hell bcs the way the  main plot was written was ass. the plot itself had potential, i was rlly hooked. i like the narrations din bcs it was told by diff characters and we get to see diff perspectives. but instead of just developing it properly, the author kept throwing disturbing shits. ong srsly, what are yall trying to prove.

@clintwheresnat same thoughts. the story started good but the ending was freaking bad.  the story could’ve ended better kasi may potential naman eh. 
            
            also, hindi ko siguro cup of tea genre ni author but still, the ending did not sit right with me. ang disturbing basahin talaga.

Hello ! My sincere apologies for not being active :< Nilalangaw na ang CU and that epistolary I was supposed to publish last month ay na-delay ng sobra T-T Hindi ko pa siya tapos actually kasi I’m struggling with imposter syndrome right now. But rest assured, I’ll finish it and won’t keep it in my drafts. Ang ganda ng AESF author! Halos natapos ko siya ng isang araw cauz it really got my attention and interest talaga. I didn't also expect some of the plot twist, HAHAHAHAHA nakakagulat. Unang hinala ko sa God na tinutukoy ay si Mykel, pero hindi pala. Super naaawa na din ako kay Alastair, what more pa kaya ung mararanasan niya under Mykel's mercy? T-T
