Watched Halloween Ends last night and maay need to rewrite Silencing His Desires a bit.

No spoilers for those who haven't watched it, so do not fret scaly children. Silencing His Desires takes place before all that and the only hint to the actual Ends story is the opening scene that everyone knows about by now but I'll try to keep it vague as possible just in case.

Uploaded a sneak-peek of the second installment of my Horror Fan-Novel series as a small teaser, although it does contain spoilers for those who haven't watched Halloween Kills. Fair heads up, this obviously isn't going to be mutually beneficial and focuses on abusive relationships, broken family, and addiction; absolutely not a fun story. I've been really wanting to dwelve into darker story plots for a long while to practice so I can implement them later in my main story, Seeking Redemption.

So for those who seek out a story where there is no happily ever after, I hope I don't disappoint when I get around to actually starting it. (Just between us, Michael Myers is actually kind of really fun to write about! Too bad this book won't really focus on his perspective as to keep The Shape as close to his actual character as possible.)

Friday the 13th: Lost Lake is almost done. Over 95,000 words already, with 110,000 not counting the additional epilogues I had in mind being my goal. I'm extremely eager to begin my Halloween novel, and maybe after that a Nightmare on Elm Street version as well.

Just a fair warning, the Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street versions of this weird series of mine are going to involve some forms of abuse, since I want to practice writing abusive relationships for my bigger project. Feedback and tips would be very much appreciated!

I'm thinking about doing a separate story for my Claire character after Lost Lake is over as an Alternate Timeline or Universe. Most of the early events will probably be the same, just instead of being a silly Friday the 13th fan novel it will be a Halloween fan novel in honor of the final movie Halloween Ends.

I mostly want to write these weird fan novels because it gives me a chance to retreat into a world of fantasy, a world of my favorite imaginary characters and what would happen if a fantasy version of myself ended up there. These are mostly just to get things off my chest and even vent here and there, but give me a place to decompress. Writing Michael Myers' character and accurately protraying him feels like a challenge in itself because he's not really supposed to have any personality. He's sort of just this blank slate. But I'm sure I'll figure something out, maybe even hint at one of my biggest headcanons on the dude (which will actually make him easier to write since it's something I struggle with myself).

I dunno if you scaly children like my "depression/comfort" writing, but it feels nice to be able to have the confidence to post them without having to tuck them away in a secret private folder. Plus it gives me more practice in writing my actual serious stories and how to establish characters and their quirks.

I have returned! It's been ages since I've last posted here but I'm back and I have a new story in the works I already wrote a handful of chapters for it and plan to post them soon. During my absence I've been busy with life, but I have gained a newfound interest: slasher flicks. Horror fans rejoice, you have gained another cult member over the past three years :)
