Hi everyone! :)

It has been 10 years since the first chapter of ODaD had been released, and it is absolutely crazy how much things have changed since then. So many of you were young and in school, and now are working, have gotten married, and may be parents as well :)

I now have a 2 year old son, and the irony is that he kind of resembles the way I imagined Saad to look...10 years ago. Crazy, isn't it?

Lots of personal things have happened in between, and I unfortunately don't have the time to write as I used to. Perks of being a working wife/mom. Someday, I hope to write again.

I miss being on here regularly. I randomly google search the title sometimes and see that people have posted about this story on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc. And it makes me so happy that you felt so moved by the story enough to post about it.

          	How have you all been?

@sprinkleofhayat insane how I logged into wattpad just now thinking about odad and the first think on my notification says it clocked 10 years! WOW!

This book changed my life in many ways. I came to wattpad in search of twilight kinda books but then somehow tuned into depthful stories and then while in first year bachelor's degree, found this gem! It made my already curious about terrorism-middle east issues heart oh so thrilled yet pierced. I went on t research more on Yazidis, Genocides, Terrorism and their motives etc etc, books after books, documentaries, movies my god I even went on to give a solid presentation to my classmates and professor who were equally moved by my research findings. Someday, I might actually do something about this topic in a good way....as in the way our FL does but till then, this book will always be memorable for the kick of curiosity, research, and a dive into everything the real bad world has to offer but we remain hidden from. It's real, raw, beautifully paining. I might even tell my future family about this book...it is that impactful in my life.

THANK YOU FOR CONCEIVING AND GIVING BIRTH TO THIS PRECIOUS ONE!

ps: proud that a fellow malayali did this <3

Hii fellow reader, I've lost a story whose plot was nearly similar to odad. Ml's name was Adam (may be). He initially was living nearby fl's house. Later it was revealed that he was the brother of villain and her friend, mother everyone knew that except fl.
(Pardon my description) Have anyone came accross the story or its author. Please do tell me

24-12-2023 was the day when a part of me was over as the book was over. Some lives were over, some banters were over. A whole journey was over for me. One year since I first read odad and oh boy. I've never been the same again. The names Ahsan and Saad are not mere names, they've become emotions. Emotions you want to feel but want to escape from at the same time. Hayat has to be my favourite main female character among all the novels I've ever come across. Thankyou for giving us this wonderful work of art. Hope to have a hardcoppy of this heartbreakingly beautiful book.. ♥️♥️♥️

@TheBluntLass I relate to this so much, I can't believe it has been 10 years but the feeling after reading it again never changes
