For the past few days, i have been inactive here and during that time, a lot of new writers have approached this conversation box and requested for reads. this msg is for the ones who might want to post here in future.

so, firstly, i know what it is like to put efforts but not get recognition. so, approaching readers this way through convo boards is effective(only if your story is engaging). BUT BUT BUT....

only approach the "READERS" not writers plz. telling this from experience, it won't do u any good. writers hardly get tym to write so approaching them for reading isn't gonna help you with the reads.

secondly, CHECK DESCRIPTION BOX OF THE PERSON. if the person has clearly mentioned they aren't accepting reading requests then plz don't post, not only writer profiles but for reader profiles as well.

you have daily limitation on number of msg boards you can post to, so be selective.

          	all the best.

I absolutely adore your books. Can you recommend some published novels or books in wattpad for a 14 year old girl? I'm currently in highschool wanting to read more but don't really know where to start. Hope you help! Thank You

Just binged read Arranged Roommates.

Honestly, the title caught my interest and so I explored. The female lead eerily me. The past, the insecurities, the mindset about why love doesn't last, the abhorrence towards the topic of marriage, and her love for cooking! At some points, when she gets irrationally angry, I see myself in her. I remember the times I have snapped at people who I wouldn't even call friends... and they wouldn't have done anything to warrant my rudeness.

My family is no stranger to my thoughts and temper. At times Ria made me mad .. frustrated but everytime goddamn time I saw her just being me ... So when Abhay's character develops, and he begins to adore her in all her forms, I couldn't help but feel respect for him and unexplainable happiness for Ria.

To me, Ria is the sole protagonist, and that is probably me being biased, but Abhay has my heart too. His character develops a lot, how he begins to understand her little quirks, understands when she's pretending to be angry, starts loving the thrill of being challenged and catering to her little unspoken needs subtly. He does it all.

Sure, there's flaws in characters but to me, that's the charm of this story. They are closer to the audience.

ps: It didn't feeel like it was your first time writing "ahem ahem" scenes as you call it (very adorable behaviour btw). You wrote them well, and had me in the feels almost lol ... I very rarely like smut from Indian authors (maybe I'm yet to discover good books in that section) but I LOVED yours!

Ria represents us all grumpy girls and i m super super happy that you were able to connect to her (cuz i have designed her character with a precious piece of my heart and a lot of personal experiences).

Thank for reading and sharing your feedback, it made me smile on my very painful period:)❤️

p.s. i am happy you liked the ahem ahem scenes too hehe it still makes me a little shy to write them but msgs like these definitely give me confidence enough to write those TOUGH scenes

Before now, I never really understood the concern of my parents whenever I told them of my dreams and my wish make a bright future for myself. I never really understood why my dad demanded for me send my live location at random times when I was out of home or when he told me to send the cab driver's number and details everytime I travelled alone. I never really understood the reason of my mom's infinite missed calls if I got even fifteen minutes late in coming home.

I just thought that they are worrying about nothing. But in the recent days, after seeing the Kolkata doctor rape case, I have been terrorized to no extent.

Being brutally raped and murdered at her workplace, the place she must have considered a safe zone for herself?

Her only mistake? Doing night duty to save lives.

          That's our country for you.

15th August, Independence day? Singing "Saare Jahaan se acha hindustan hamara" in rallies, it's just simply disappointing at this point. It's shameful.

It's like saying: let's celebrate the terror that has been in the minds of every girl and her parents after this incident.

And the loop goes on and on. Every year, there is a major publically highlighted rape case like this in our "saare jahaan se acha hindustan". Sometimes with a veterinary doctor in Hyderabad, sometimes with a journalist and nurse in Mumbai, sometimes with a student in Delhi, sometimes with a doctor in Kolkata and sometimes with a wife in every other household.

Wait a second. Did I write something wrong?

Oh, yes. I forgot. Marital rape isn't considered rape by the largest constitutional democracy of the world. My bad.

No woman in this country is secure enough to celebrate "Independence day". Because even after 78 years of independence, we as women in this country are still slaves to patriarchy, lecherous gaze of men on streets, eve-teasing and rapes. Nowhere, is a safe zone. If that's not the life of a slave, then what is?

Wishing a very happy "Independence" day to you all.

srishtiwrites

@skyriseme28 true. but not everybody is lucky like us to have a support system in form of parents and are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to learn martial arts. no girls, if given opportunity to learn, would condemn to it. and then again, it's the matter of educational awareness. in a country where basic education is scarce, such a reform of everybody knowing self defense is like a dream. but it definitely needs to be given as much importance as education and academics.

@srishtiwrites I agree with you. I have no words to say I'm done with this country and its so-called justice system. I mean, a woman was gang raped and murdered in a place she used to work where she and her parents used to think she was safe, and then her own parents were not allowed to see her for 3 hours, and the dean blamed the girl for what she was doing alone there, like the fucking audacity of people to ask such questions and blaming on the girls like "she was asking for it." She was wearing these types of clothes. Why she was roaming around the nighttime is just argh!!
Not only this, there are women and girls out there who are sexually assaulted, be it by their own family member or by a stranger (I too was SA by my cousin), and recently after this, a nursery class girl was raped by a 30-year-old man. I mean, now tell what was her fault, and on the other hand, our so-called judiciary (Jo justice ke alawa sab krti hai) released a rapist recently. And we all know somewhere that har baar ki tarah is baar bhi justice nhi milega (as always); it's just pathetic. Happy independence day? The 78 yrs of independence made no sense. I don't have any words right now!!!  It just breaks my heart.

@srishtiwrites I agree to what you say. ...this should stop but unfortunately nobody will bother to come forward to speak and even if few does it will simply be ignored and moved on..
