Just binged read Arranged Roommates.
Honestly, the title caught my interest and so I explored. The female lead eerily me. The past, the insecurities, the mindset about why love doesn't last, the abhorrence towards the topic of marriage, and her love for cooking! At some points, when she gets irrationally angry, I see myself in her. I remember the times I have snapped at people who I wouldn't even call friends... and they wouldn't have done anything to warrant my rudeness.
My family is no stranger to my thoughts and temper. At times Ria made me mad .. frustrated but everytime goddamn time I saw her just being me ... So when Abhay's character develops, and he begins to adore her in all her forms, I couldn't help but feel respect for him and unexplainable happiness for Ria.
To me, Ria is the sole protagonist, and that is probably me being biased, but Abhay has my heart too. His character develops a lot, how he begins to understand her little quirks, understands when she's pretending to be angry, starts loving the thrill of being challenged and catering to her little unspoken needs subtly. He does it all.
Sure, there's flaws in characters but to me, that's the charm of this story. They are closer to the audience.
ps: It didn't feeel like it was your first time writing "ahem ahem" scenes as you call it (very adorable behaviour btw). You wrote them well, and had me in the feels almost lol ... I very rarely like smut from Indian authors (maybe I'm yet to discover good books in that section) but I LOVED yours!
