Hey kids.

I made a resolution this new year. I would read 365 works of literature spread over the 365 days of 2026. We are 4 days past the 1st of January. I am a novel and a half through. Not even two. One and about 60 percent of the second. When I look up, I can see words dancing in the air with dark spots everywhere.
It's funny. I know it's not going to happen but I will give it a shot. Impossible goals lead to extraordinary outcomes you know. And I know for a fact that I need to work on my reliability as a person because I am severely lacking when it comes to keeping my words. (Adelwood core?)

One of the good things? It's making me write like anything. I have been working on my Stories that have been in limbo for so long for the lack of ideas. Think I can make a difference this year? Oh. I hope so.

          	Thank You.

          	~DD

@starfallhorizon I completely understand this. I think when a story is born in a certain season, you naturally relate to it more during that time and the writing just flows differently. It makes so much sense.

Also, lol, I honestly cannot believe that you have noticed my messages. I’m really sorry for spamming you about it. I just couldn’t help myself.

I can’t deny how deeply drawn I am to that story, especially the way you’ve portrayed the female lead. She’s stayed with me in a very vivid way. I sometimes find myself thinking of the book when I read Uncle Vanya by Chekhov or Eugene Onegin by Pushkin. It gives me that same quiet, lingering feeling.

And now that I’ve shifted to the UK, I definitely want to visit Hertfordshire someday and read Rain in Hertfordshire while being there. It feels like the perfect way to experience it.

@edgy3ams That's very sweet of you. I am so sorry I haven't uploaded a new chapter in Rain In Hertfordshire for more than a year now.
Well, the weird thing with me writing the stories is that some of my stories are winter stories and some of them are summer ones. The Stranger, for example, was something I wrote midst the coldest winter in years the year I wrote it originally. So I am trying to write it now. Lol.
Stories like Promises Unkept, RIH and Ink and Thistles are summer based, and they come to me more and better in summer- when I am also very busy with a world of things beside this.

That doesn't mean I cannot write the next few chapters of Rain in Hertfordshire now, because I can tell you have been reminding me about it for the longest time.
I am so sorry. I swear I do not do this intentionally.

Hii, can you please put all the chapters of The Stranger back online for us. It is one of my favourite books and I am dying to read it again.
          :-)

@rainycloud138 @graciousbuka Heya. I understand that you would want to read the whole book once again but I cannot publish it whole as it was. The story has sort of turned around on its heel and while the canons remain the same, I am going to change a lot of things. I hope you would enjoy the new version as much as the old one. The book was my sweet first baby before but I felt like I needed to make it better than the cheesy mess a bigger part of it was.

@rainycloud138 I second that too.....happy new year to you

@Bella2801995 Aw. To be honest, it should be me thanking You for your patience. I could never with the way I have no consistency.
But obviously, you are always welcome.

I have been in Scotland for a month now and I see no Delilah whatsoever. I don't even see an Alexis.
And hello? Why is there no Richard in the east of Yorkshire? Where the hell is stormcastle?
What a humbling experience! Was all of this just a piece of fiction?

Rant: I do not enjoy writing anymore.
I do not feel it inside my head. Probably a me-problem but hey! I wish I could go back to being 18, full of teenage emotions and hormones, writing very poorly but with a bold abandon and so many ideas gushing out of me. Now at 25, eighteen looks like ages ago and I am already exhausted even before I have started. Is this early-onset Midlife Crisis? Lack of sleep and poor Diet? Absence of Creative flair? Just lethargy? I don't know. But Sir Rushdie said write it even if you don't want to and I think I'll persist.
Also, almost done with my bachelor's and it is NOT as fun as everyone told me it would be.

          -DD

@rosabella826 well said.....keep it up girl. You got this

Hi!

I've just finished reading The Unchaste and The Invictus, cannot wait for you to continue writing the third book! And let me tell you, in my long being on the Wattpad, I cannot really remember a story anyhow similar to this one, based on your writing style, bittersweet emotion that the characters radiate, and even the plot is quite unique. I'm really glad I managed to find these books!
In the meantime, while waiting for my favourite Winter to return in the third book, I'll ravage through every other story that you've wrote.

          Take care!

The display adaptor of my eight years old laptop just stopped functioning so I am happily reading my way over into the new year. Yup. My third time going through 'The Lord of The Ring' and I am so intrigued I could cry.

While the new drafts of my old books wait in my non-operable PC, I wish you all a great upcoming year.

I hope you would continue to tolerate my nasty habit of publishing new books while not working through the old ones. My brain is a fickle bunny. I cannot make it stay put in one place for long. It is either this, or that, or Bailey's Surgical nuances or Harrison's Medicine. So, call it creative liberties if you will.... :)
Meanwhile, I will continue to cherish your feedbacks, work on myself where you tell me to and bravely accept your criticism in all its crudeness.

Please take care. Attend to your priorities. Fulfill your dreams.

          ~DD
