          hey  bud  that  was  a  beauty  goal.   that  ding  off  the  crossbar  when  you  tried  to  go  bardown,   quick  recovery  to  get  the  rebound  goal.   tendy  didn’t  even  see  it  coming.

caught  majority  of  the  game,   me  and  a  couple  of  my  teammates  decided  to  do  some  sight  seeing  today.   watch  a  hockey  game,   it’s  a  different  experience  when  you’re  watching  other  people  play  rather  than  actually  playing  yourself.   pretty  impressive  what  the  kids  of  today  are  up  to,   maybe  you’ll  be  the  next  great  one,   one  of  these  days.   you  and  your  buddies.

            a grunt of distaste leaked from him, rather defiant towards the other’s request. he was typically wild, unpredictable && animalistic. but even he knew that he should watch his boundaries — he’s overstepped them several times, only to be brutally punished by the professor. despite how tough he wanted to be, this creature knew better. he may be masochistic, but he knew drew could hurt him far beyond repair if he desired to do so. the last thing he wanted right now was to be starved. or beaten, until the inky black blood within his dying veins spilled out onto the dirty concrete floor. 
            
            when drew made the deal, the  “ pet ”  zombie’s head lolled to the side in curiosity, also indicating that he was listening with intent. it didn’t take much for him to agree. being left off his chain ?  yes, he liked that. perhaps he wouldn’t be freed from the iron collar around his neck, but losing the weight of the chain for a while ?  that was enough for him to agree. with a single nod, the monstrous creature accepted the deal, face flushed now with a darker gray tone against his cheekbones that were decorated with deep blue veins, visible beneath his cold skin.

          the chuckle made his eyes narrow in near - annoyance. it was almost as if he were being mocked — he didn’t like it. the condescending attitude towards him provoked the inner animal within the creature. yes, he was human; well, almost. but after being infected, he felt like a whole other being. feral, predatory.
          
          he just didn’t want to cave into those new instincts. he didn’t want to become the monster everyone thought him to be. 
          
          when the gloves fingers laced around his throat, chills surfaced across his skin. he instinctively recoiled, leaning backwards as much as he could in this position. another low, shuddery groan slides from the depths of his throat in response; possibly to defend himself or make him seem the least bit intimidating against the scientist . . . but knowing, in the back of his mind, it would have no effect on drew. he even bared his teeth in response to his harsh words —  but there was something in his eyes. 
          
          a glimmer of humiliation && shame.

          deep down, the creature was somewhat relieved that no one knew that he was treated even poorly than the already obvious, of which was seen when the mad man would take him out in public or show him off at some strange science conference. he was already humiliated — though that wasn’t seen by the outside world. to them, he was just some soulless abomination infected with the virus. they didn’t think he  / had /  feelings or a conscious thought process.
          
          but he did. && the scientist knew he did, too. 
          
          after all, drew calloway was an incredibly intelligent man. everyone knew that, && it probably scared people, the creature thought. the professor was known to be . . . somewhat eccentric.
          
          this evening, his train of thought was interrupted by the eerie creaking of the heavy door being pushed open. the lantern casted light && shadow across the cell, chains ringing as they shifted together slightly when the zombie turned his head to acknowledge the man’s presence. he squinted against the light, dark hues barely reflecting the image of the scientist’s figure before him. to greet him, all drew received was a hoarse && drawled grunt that was pulled from deep within his throat.
