Hey guys, I wanted to ask something.
Is it bad that I write by a pen name instead of my real name? Should I go by real name now?
My family is completely against it saying someone with the name "Rosie" would take credit of everything.
Moreover they are like I'm doing useless efforts and trying to convince me to stop writing completely and delete all the current works. They say I should never write in a partnership and I'm not mature enough to write something to attract readers.
My father told me that I can never do it. I'm starting to believe her tbh. He wants me to close all my wattpad accounts asap because I'm not doing anything fruitful here. I don't know what to do. He doesn't understand what I feel like. I am tired of arguing.
It’s sad that your family doesn’t support you. Do whatever you want. It’s your life. Tell him about those books written by teenagers that were trash but gained thousands and even millions of reads. They’re just finding excuses to stop you from writing.
