OK, about me.
You see, this is difficult. I don't talk about myself very much, but I'll try.
I was born to indifferent biological parents and put up for adoption right away. I was lucky to be adopted two weeks later by two of the most wonderful people on this Earth.
A normal and happy childhood followed, populated by Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica (The old ones) and comic books of the Marvel flavour. I have a vast collection of old Iron Man comic books. He was my favourite.
I liked Star Wars so much, that I hid with my cousin Christian under the seats at the movie theatre so we could watch it again. Five times! This was in 1977. I was eight or nine. Then I discovered much better Science Fiction in the form of books. TV and cinema were fine but did not compare to books and my imagination. Not even close.
My first book was lent to me by a kindly neighbour with a vast book collection. It was J.R.R. Tolkien's Bilbo The Hobbit. I was blown away. Then my saviour lent me Cordwainer Smith's the Instrumentality of Mankind. Closely followed by Asimov's Caves of Steel. I was a fan for the rest of my life. These books were French translations. I didn't speak English at the time.
When I did come around to learn Shakespeare's language, I set myself to read these book in their original versions. Written in the authors own word's. What a discovery that was. The humour was different, the puns. Even the cliff hangers had more impact. It's the same with Jules Verne and Victor Hugo in French. Much better in the Author's own language.
P.S. Please don't be shy, comment and vote for my stories. That's my only indication that you liked it. Thank you for those who already did. It's greatly appreciated.
I'm a big fan of @Chatachino covers. She did Road Crew's new cover on Amazon and it looks great!
