Missouri State Rep. Steven Roberts of St. Louis received Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Communication Studies from the University of Miami before earning his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. 

During law school, he worked as a legislative intern for the United States Congressman Russ Carnahan. Rep. Steven Roberts also worked for the Los Angeles District Attorney's office as a certified law clerk and assisted the Counsel to Secure Justice in New Delhi, India, to help victims of violent sexual assault.
