Stonewall riots


- June 28, 1969 in the Stonewall Inn in New York City, the moral squad came in to a gay bar that was located in the Inn. The moral squad were about to arrest the patrons in the bar, but the patrons fought against the arrest.The people inside the bar were fighting with the policemen as backup came it was then realized that there were more lgbt memebers outside the Inn. These riots lasted all the way to July 1st. It is believed that this started the lgbt rights movement as well the pride parade.
