Wanna know why its called Forgotten Souls? Because I keep forgetting it exists. Jk I’ll update it once I’m done with Remedy (I hope).
I’ve been working on my own, non-ninjago book lately, which is written in 1st person POV and present tense, and tell me why I’m STRUGGLING with writing in past tense for Ninjago now *skull emoji*
Past tense: 3 years
Present tense: 2 weeks
Back to past tense challenge (impossible) (I failed)
I’m just being dramatic, but I think it’s funny that I’m suddenly having this internal shift when it comes to my writing style and a part of me wants to change it on my ninjago stories as well, but, like, I’ve been writing all of these books in past tense—I can’t just switch up one of the most important parts of the entire book (consistency).
I know some of you can’t wait for the next chapter of Remedy, but life is being life right now so it’s taking me a bit longer to write. But I do have to say it’s one of my favorite chapters to write.
To keep you on your toes, here’s a little snippet of the next chapter:

Kai was too tired to stand there and guess what his parents now wanted from his sister. "All right, how about you go and ask her whatever you want to know? I'm tired and I have school in the morning." He began to walk away again, but the next three words of his father's made him stop dead in his tracks.
"She's not here."

Soooo I just found out Ninjago is getting a live-action movie????
I’m still deciding on how I want to feel about it, but as of rn it’s not positive. Like, you’re telling me a live-action was green-lit but not a sequel to TLNM?
@storiesninjago yeah can't wait !! Hope they don't mess anything up. I will finally be able to visualize Ninjas in my sleep.
I’m actually kind of excited for it! I just hope they don’t mess up the casting or plot.
@storiesninjago Believe me or not! But I had a dream that they would do a live action movie about Ninjago!!! (I wished it was true, and maybe now it will come true)

Just to put it out there, I’m not going to read anybody’s Jaya Week submissions until I have finished my own because I don’t want to accidentally draw inspiration from other creators <3
As you can see, I’ve published the prompts part for Jaya Week 2024 since the belated week starts tomorrow. I want to be completely transparent; I won’t put my soul into these seven oneshots. I’ve got a lot going on in my life right now so the oneshots will be short and there won’t be much thought behind them. I do have a passion for Jaya Week, though, and I don’t want to miss out on this event that the @jayaweekofficial crew have put their effort into to keep alive this year. I highly encourage any one of you guys to participate as well because it’s a fun thing to do. See you tomorrow!
