His family owns the inn on bear island . He helps to run it with his multiple siblings && mother because his father died in the war of the 5 kings . other then keeping the ironborn off the island && hunting bears he has very little fighting experience . so the long night was very traumatic , as his house went extinct during that battle ( show verse ) . — to be continued ...
