This will probably sound super weird to most of you, and you will likely think I am a stereotype of a hungarian, BUT HEAR ME OUT! The one song that I listen to 90%of times when I try to understand Elowen’s character on a deeper level (and I was also listening to this song when I first came up with this fic) is ‘Gyöngyhajú lány’ by Omega. And it’s probably one of the most stereotypically hungarian songs, but the lyrics just fit Elowen so much. So yeah, here ya go, a piece of hungarian culture and a better understanding of what goes on inside my head when I am writing this fic.

@strbrsweet polish songs that I associate with my own fic would be, 1. "dni, ktorych nie znamy" by Marek Grechuta (a total polish classic from 70s), 2. "jej czarne oczy" by Ivan & Delfin (iconic early 00s piece), 3. "a gdy juz ciemno" and "pokaz na co cie stac" both by Feel (iconic late 00s pieces), then two rather randomized polish pop songs from like 2010-2015 are "w strone slonca" by Ewelina Lisowska & "badz duzy" by Natalia Nykiel. and supposedly a lot of people hated "badz duzy" but it was popular when it come out anyway. and I love it to this day. oh, and also "nie klam, ze mnie kochasz" by Ewelina Flinta. I swear I remember it being like in every romantic trailer in late 10s. beside the 1st one I really do not think any of those are like cultural pieces but it is a polish pop-culture

I do not think I am ashamed of the Polish language itself, but rather of the misconceptions about Polish people. we either are pictured as village people with vodka, pathological farts in adidas tracksuits crouching down, Russians-
or now as people that never smile.
we do not smile a lot 'in the streets', we complain a lot 'in the streets'. but we also do not take ourselves seriously. half of the things that happen in Poland are basically for the shit and giggles, and I do not think many people from other [further] countries realise that we are often joking and not being entirely serious and unintentionally cringe
