[ nate nods, small smile taking over a playfully distraught expression. he starts to walk her to the dining hall. ] promise, no peeking— [ on the kitchen island, there was a three tier cake with happy birthday cal, written in pink and a small gift bag beside it. as decent as he was at cooking, baking was a completely different beast, he was glad he took off the day to do it so he could take this time. ] i mayyy have had to ask friday for help a few times— more like the entire time— but it’s your favorite.
