If more white people refused to accept awards they believe the minority nominee deserved, we would be less outraged. Like sure, maybe Timothy was good in marty supreme, but to say that Michael b jordan deserved it, amd then proceeding to still take it is weird. Obviously it's not just him, it happens all the time, but still. And also the fact that Marty supreme has only been out for 2 weeks while sinners has been out for 8 MONTHS, and everyone absolutely loved it, makes it feel like even more of a slap in the face for us poc

We opened our xmas gifts today cause we wanted to do it with my nieces (we have them on the weekends), and the whole time my mom is telling us thag she got us small things and she wasn't surebif we'd like them, and it was all things she knew we'd love.
Two months ago she asked me and my sister what we wanted, and we both said we have everything we want and need, so maybe just fuzzy socks (we love a good pair of socks), and today I got a scarf, socks, a huge box of coloring pencils and sharpener (I have like 5 coloring books), and the pjo book set. As I was opening my stuff I could see my mom relax knowing that I truly did get stuff that she knew I would want, and I got very emotional cause that's my mommy that raised me and my sisters all on her own still making sure that we're happy, no matter how pissed off she gets with us
