            yes,  all.  i  have  found  a  couple  wandering  around.  others  i  took  in  from  the  shelter.  i  would  hate  to  see  any  dog  homeless.  that's  ..  probably  why  i  have  so  many.   [  he  smiled,  a certain  canine  sticking  very  close  to  him.  ]  this  is  winston,  over  there  is  jack,  max,  buster,  harley,  ellie  and  zoe.

            [  a  small  snicker  follows  her  words,  he  thought  it  was  in  fact  pretty  funny.  then  again  he  couldn't  tell  if  she  was  being  sarcastic  or  not.  it  was  sort  of  challenging  to  understand  tone  for  him  sometimes.  ]  i  love  dogs.  and  no  im  not  fostering  they  are  all  mine.  they  all  came  from  a  rescue.

            “  saying  he  deserved  it  isn’t  exactly  a  reason,  and  you  know  it.”  lorene  chuckled,  raising  the  bottle  to  her  lips. 
               
             the  mention  of  /charles/  new  name  was  enough  to  earn  him  another  laugh. lorene  simply  did  not  have  the  heart  to  correct  logan  once  again. when  it  came  to  the  charles’  school,  she  was  a  guest. granted,  she  was  a  guest  that  was  always  welcomed,  but  that  was  a  man  she  never  wanted  to  upset. 
               
             “  i  got  you  for  next  time,”  she  spoke,  “  you  would  think  a  school  would  be  your  limit  for  doing  those  sorts  of  things. then  again,  listening  isn’t  your  strongest  suit.” 
              
             that  last  comment  was  only  a  mere  tease  to  the  other. a  hand  pulled  the  tool  box  closer  to  lorene’s  side. there  was  a  great  chance  she  might  not  even  use  any  of  the  tools  beside  her. simply  from  looking,  there  didn’t  appear  to  be  much  wrong. but,  she  could  entertain  trying  to  ‘tidy’  the  bike  to  keep  her  hands  busy. 
               
             “  okay,  seriously  what  did  summers  do  to  piss  /you/  off?”

@strongshields ╱             logan’s dislike for the man rooted back to the days he loved jean.  despite how his feelings for her may have died, the dislike never truly went away.  nor did the slight pettiness that he tended to lean into either.   with a face, he drank more of his beer, a slight hum leaving his throat with an eye roll. 
            “ you and i both know he deserves it.  “ he answered taking a step closer to see what she pulled from the chain.  an interested look blossomed across his face, even a bit of surprise as his finger reached to point further into it.     “ think somethin’s wrong with the motor.  “ 
            there was a great possibility that nothing was wrong with the motor.  simply using it as an excuse to tinker and stay within the confines of the garage a bit longer.  a smirk curled at the mention of charles and his rules against alcohol and smoking.  standing up better and stretching himself out a bit.     “ i can smoke and drink. chuck let’s me because i don’t follow those rules.  “ honesty came from his tone, he didn’t follow those rules.  or many of them anyway.  it tended to be a losing battle with logan. 
            a toolbox was dragged over to her, just at her feet by logan.  a smile curled across his lips,    “ really? how about a bottle of whiskey then? “  his feet would turn to grab her beer, sitting it down on the concrete floor.

            "  oh  c'mon. you  would  say  that  about  anyone,  myself  included. he's  that  bad  when  you  get  to  know  him  a  little  more. what  do  you  have  against  him?"  as  she  spoke,  lorene  kneeled  next  to  the  bike  to  get  a  closer  look. 
                      from  what  she  could  already  see,  it  appeared  something  was  stuck  in  the  chain  of  the  bike,  whatever  it  was,  it  was  easy  for  her  to  wiggle  out  using  only  a  bit  of  her  strength. 
                  "  what  else  was  wrong  with  it  before  ?"  a  question  she  should  have  asked  sooner,  "    charles  wouldn't  let  me  smoke,  so  it's  only  fair. surprised  he  let  you  have  some  kind  of  beer  on  school  grounds."   
                   peering  over  the  bike,  she  started  to  pull  some  of  the  tools  closer  too  her.
                    "  you  bring  me  that  beer,  i'll  bring  you  whatever  you  want. /within  reason/."

             (  vii.)  EXTRAS:  lorene  is  obsessed  with  penguins  and  beetles. during  her  military  career  she  was  a  human  intelligence  specialist  [  aka  ci/humnit  ]. she  loved  bourbon  and  smoking. 

lorene’s  occupation  was  focused  on  security  and  not  only  protected  those  of  the  united  states,  but  specifically  mutants  as  well. operating  as  a  human  bloodhound,  she  was  to  track  down  assigned  mutants  to  either  protect  them,  immobilize  them  if  they  were  a  threat,  or  to  keep  records  on  certain  mutants  deemed  a  threat. though  s.h.i.e.l.d  as  an  agency  has  not  shied  away  from  taking  in  mutants  in  their  ranks,  lorene’s  views  on  mutant  rights  often…complicates  things. the  same  people  she  is  set  out  to  destroy  are  people  of  like-minded  kind. if  often  makes  her  job  difficult. 

        this  went  on  for  about  three  years  before  she  was  approached  by  s.h.i.e.l.d. her  early  days  in  the  division  would  be  the  first  time  since  the  military  she  was  not  experimented  on. since  her  experimentation,  lorene  began  to  suffer  from  ptsd,  insomnia,  and  was  more  prone  to  frustration  when  unable  to  control  her  powers. any  time  her  healing  factor  is  in  use,  it  creates  great  strain  on  her  body,  slowing  her  down  immensely. not  only  that,  but  due  to  project  harkin’s  grueling  process,  this  caused  her  mutation  to  become  a  sporadic  malfunction. her  powers  would  tend  to  spike  and  drop  at  inopportune  times,  especially  her  healing  factor. sometimes  it  would  not  kick  in  when  she  needed  it  most.
