hi. i know this is abrupt and all of a sudden but i’ve come to a conclusion that my time on this app is done. while i have lots of good memories here, i also have a lot of not-so-good ones. i feel like i’m leeching onto this account in hopes that one day things will go back to what they used to be, but i’ve always sort of known they just . . . won’t. wattpad isn’t what it was in two thousand eighteen. before the ads, the stupid fucking coins and paid stories, before premium . . . it’s not the same. wattpad isn’t a safe space for aspiring authors anymore. we’re bombarded with advertisements after every chapter. premium is shoved in our faces. we can’t read some stories without paying literal money. it’s not the fucking same, and it never will be. this app is a cash cow. and i don’t want to be part of it anymore. maybe i’ll come on here to write some things and read a few stories from my friends, but other than that i’m leaving. i’m not happy here anymore. i’ll never get what i had back again, but i guess that’s what makes it so important and dear to my heart. once again, i’m sorry that this is out of nowhere, but it’s something i’ve been meaning to say for months. this is goodbye, i guess. goodbye and good luck. treat people with kindness. <3

@stvreigns i almost just wasn’t going to say anything to you, but you’re making my brain rot. regardless of race, a police officer is still a police officer. a police officer has chosen to take part in a system deeply rooted in racism; an occupation that systematically only protects cisgender, heterosexual & white men. i don’t know what you’ve been told, but i can assure you that people of colour, people of the LGBTQ+ community, people that are disabled, people that deal with mental illness, and people that simply aren’t white have never been first priority. if we continue with this flawed and outdated system, the problem will only get worse. this entire occupation stems from slave patrollers, and the ways haven’t seemed to change. black people are constantly targeted by officers over irrational and out-of-line accusations. this does not happen to white people. you know that, right? please take your outdated ways and go. i do not have time for you.

@playgroundfight that’s what i was TRYING to say. but, what ive been saying, and what people have been “saying” about what i tries to say, aren’t the same. i know the world is messed up, i know that black men and woman are murdered, harassed, and more, but i also know that black men and women protect us in the armed forces. i don’t go after people who have a different opinion than my own, i know that saying or doing that is wrong, but there are girls, and guys like myself who are now being called murderers, just because we have a family member in the law enforcement. i, as a white person, have to do better, i KNOW that.

@stvreigns the fact that black people have to fear going outside, have to fear driving their car, have to fear while in the company of the people who are supposed to protect them and their community is far from abnormal. it doesn’t matter if there are “good cops” out there. because the bad ones will always outweigh them and the “good cops” that “don’t care about the support system, and just want to help people” are just as bad as the bad ones for standing by and doing nothing to change the racism in our country.
