If you're interested in the subgenre called dark fantasy, I highly recommend 'The Broken Empire' trilogy by Mark Lawrence. It is as dark as ink. Based in a medieval dystopia gripped by the undead, the story follows Jorg, an evil bastard, as he rips through the world leaving destruction and misery in his wake. It really is as beautifully written as it is horrific. For those of you who enjoy reading the point of view of a twisted protagonist.

Hey Amber~~ Glad you're enjoying "Crissa's Mate." And thanx for noticing the error I made--giving David Brad's line up on the roof in Chapter Ten. (ooops . . .) The tweak has been made, and I would appreciate you telling me of any such future inconsistencies or typos you may catch. I love eagle-eyed readers like yourself. How else would I catch those screw-ups that happen when you're writing a 4:00 AM and working the next day?
