i’m so sorry but i need some perspective… what do you actually do when one of your best friends tells you she has been texting a guy (the one you have had a crush on for almost half a year, which she knows about) and now she is asking you if she can do out with him because he asked her… like what do you do in this situation (idk is this makes sense i’m very tired and upset by the situation)

@stvrl0v3r I’d personally be mad. Not because of a boy but because of the fact that the friend clearly doesn’t respect me and my feelings. And if recommended you to say no. And if they ask why and you feel like you don’t want to explain, you shouldn’t have too. A real friend never would’ve put you in this position. Good luck!

i mean, considering she was my friend, i’d have every right to be upset. If we’re best friends, and she knows how i feel about that guy and she’s been listening to me talk about him for half a year, she wouldn’t have started texting him in the first place
            if she was a real friend. then finding out that she’s already been texting him and now he’s asking her out? she should have told me sooner. and I’d also be
            wondering if she developed feelings while they were texting or if she already liked him before. if she didn’t mean for anything to happen and he just asked her out, that’s messy. if she intentionally pursued him knowing how much i liked him… i mean, if she texts him behind my back (even if it was just to avoid hurting my feelings), that’s exactly the kind of thing a real friend wouldn’t do. also, even if she had told me she started texting him even though she knows i like the guy, that would also be disrespectful tbh. so no, i wouldn’t be like, “yeah, go ahead,” just to be the “cool friend.”
