@Qiaana01  Honestly if the book is that much close to your heart especially since it is your first work I would advice you not to make any forceful changes and keep it imperfect like that. There are still people who love this kinds of books and characters. I would advice you to maybe add a author's note at the start of the book to just let people know that it's ur first book and stuff like that, I think the readers will appreciate it.
            
            And about the book you suggested... I just got a lot on my plate rn.. after I finish with these I'll definitely give it a try.

@Qiaana01 Just wanted to add one more thing (with a good motive) you shouldn't  promote characters like those. Most of the readers read books to escape the reality and when you find the same things happening in the book I can't explain the feeling to you bt it's just worst.

            Okay, I get your point.But I feel there are two kinds of writers those who build their stories around plot,and those who build them around characters.I think I fall into the second category.
            
            When I started *CYS*, I didn’t really have a structured storyline in mind.I just had these characters living in my head, and the story grew around them.
            
            Honestly, I’ve never been able to bring myself to edit it properly.It’s my first work, and I kind of want to leave it as it is imperfect, raw, and a little messy.Though, I won’t lie, there are some cringe moments I really want to remove… but that would mean actually going back and reading it again.I just can't do it.
            
            Whenever you have time, I’d really appreciate it if you could go through it and let me know where I could improve.I’m planning to make changes when I publish it on another platform.
            
            Also, if you could share your thoughts on *The Tale of the Broken Hearts*, it would mean a lot.I’ve worked really hard on it, I’ve put a lot more effort into it, and I’m hoping it reflects some growth.

          The book a about a hate to love story between 2 lawyers who are fighting opposite to each other in the court over a rape case. The female protagonist is fighting for the victim whereas the male protagonist is defending the accused.
          
          The book contains some dark scenes as well related to crimes like murder, rape etc.
