For all you graphic artists out there, @Adrian_Birch is hosting a cover contest for "Dead in Bed: Falling to Pieces". Find more details from the DiB author account, but rules are also posted below.
1) The design should consist of a simple image on a white background and align well with the already-established Dead in Bed style motif.
2) The design should be more or less taller than it is wide so that it fits well on a book cover.
3) The design should mostly use photographs, or photograph-quality images, not drawings.
4) You don't need to worry about the text. I'll take care of that part.
5) They image can be of anything as long as it's related in some way to the storyline of Dead in Bed, Part 13: Falling To Pieces (i.e., Ashley's story, not Bailey's). This means you'll need to read along with the story and think about book cover designs based on the story's events. If you really want to get started and want a hint, I'll suggest a few possible themes: "butterflies," a "spilled can of beans", a "full moon," or a "muddy oar." But don't let these limit you! As you read the story and think of anything else, go for it. Be creative!
6) There's no firm deadline. Submission will be closed sometime after the last section of Part 13 has been published. This means that you have the entire time when the Part 13 sections are being released to think about and create cover designs.
7) You can submit as many different designs as you want. Please send each image as an attachment to adrianbirchdib@yahoo.com. Use the subject heading "Dead in Bed Part 13 cover contest."
The winner's design will be the official Dead in Bed Part 13 cover, and it will appear wherever Dead in Bed is published. I'll announce the winner soon after the contest closes.
If you have any questions, just DM me! I'll post the finalists here as they come in: https://www.wattpad.com/319390500-dead-in-bed-by-bailey-simms-book-2-part-13-cover
