If I were to drop some 3-5 part Green Day short stories in addition to writing Gagging on a Souvenir - what are some themes you'd like to see? This isn't a guarantee I'll do it - if I don't have a vision for the idea/ if it doesn't click with me, I won't run with it. But there's always a chance! 
          
          My only requirements are:
          
          Pairing: Billie/Original Character
          Time Period: Any! Late 80's, 90's, 2000's, you name it! (I don't like age gaps tho - OC is always going to be the same age or very near-age to Billie)
          Themes to avoid: Sci-fi or fantasy crossovers (I'll make an exception for mind-fuck stuff where there is an unreliable narrator/doubt of reality and not really sci-fi), other than that, if it wouldn't happen in the real world then I just don't enjoy writing it when it comes to Green Day fics. No inappropriate themes (again, no weird age gap where it's a minor and adult). Also not super into writing crossovers with other bands.
          
          Other than that, run wild! If I'm not gonna do it, I'll let ya know up front. Send fic requests based off songs you love, crossovers with themes from movies/shows you love, your favorite themes in fics, whatever ya feel!

@sullenriot Billie and the oc (you would chose the name, idk) are basically “almost” for most of the story. Everyone around them knows they’re in love before they do. Maybe some school hallway gossip, late-night phone calls, cigarettes outside parties, awkward humor, shared headphones, that kinda thing. The oc struggles with anxiety/trauma and Billie comes from a controlling/toxic household, so there’s this constant tension of him wanting closeness but also being terrified he’ll drag her down with him.
            
            He keeps trying to push her away “for her own good,” but she sees through it. Their relationship would build through tiny moments instead of huge declarations. Sitting too close in garages during band practice, Rainy parking lot conversations, Him writing lyrics he pretends aren’t about her... [ The text turned out longer than i expected lol, but i just pitched this idea that has been in my head for a while

For my newer readers that I keep seeing pop up on Gagging on a Souvenir - I have 15 pages of the next chapter typed already and PROMISE an update will be coming soon. 
          
          Work and life have been an absolute shit show that caused me to start the new year at a kind of crossroads. I effectively do not have a filter anymore and have zero tolerance for any kind of bullshit, be it with work, shitty people, or the absolute horse shit going on in the world and America.
          
          In short, I've found myself too filled with a mix of frothing rage, emotional outbursts, and overwhelming hopelessness to focus on literally anything I enjoy lately. Indulging feels so selfish of me and I haven't had the attention span. 
          
          However, it's the weekend and the roads are covered in ice so I can't go anywhere or do anything except sit with my thoughts. Writing has always been my escape, so I will submersing into the world of writing and cranking out an update or two. So stay tuned - I am hoping to have something out by Monday night, if not sooner!

Would someone mind doing me a favor? If you search for fanfics using the tag Green Day (or Billie Joe) and sort by those updated this year, does Gagging on a Souvenir show up for you? Whenever I posted an update last month I searched for those updated within the week and mine didn’t show on the list. Which maybe it didn’t show up because it’s my own story and maybe it doesn’t show you your own stories in the results? I don’t know. 
          
          I just wanted to see if it was findable for anyone else because I want to keep increasing engagement but I can’t if Wattpad isn’t pulling the tags correctly!

I made a new cover for Gagging on a Souvenir and I kind of love it! Being a photographer has it perks when it comes to rendering photos & edits.
          
          Anyway, I should have an update out by this time next week! Stay tuned!

Note: I'm going to be combining the first two chapters of Gagging on a Souvenir (no changes, I just feel like my first two chapters are so short compared to the 13-18 page later chapters). 
          
          So if you've been following, the chapter count is going to drop back down to 17, but there is still an new chapter posted!
