hihi queen! so i fear im actually intending to go INTO psych very soon, but i do know a lot about it bc ive done lots of research! psych is a bit of a weird one: it honestly depends on the school regarding how good the program will be for research opportunities and getting bachelor’s/master’s degrees. i normally find that you either want to go to one of the t20 schools, OR at the very least an R1 institution, because those schools will have the best research opportunities, and lots of opportunities for hands-on work. as for the future, there is a LOT you can do with a psych major, which i appreciate! i plan to go into therapy and child development actually, but being psych major teaches you valuable skills in communication, connection, empathy, cooperation, etc—skills that are useful in multiple fields. so if you don’t plan on going into therapy, there are ways to make use of your psych major outside of it! sorry for the rlly long response haha but hope it helps!
