Okay, so... Harry’s feelings are actually genuine. However, when Aven first joined the tour, he was pissed about it. And after he caught her spying on them the first time, he made a deal with the Mafia/Quincy to have Aven killed. That’s the most we know about the “plan” though... and if you didn’t guess already, Skelly is Quincy. So, long story short, that’s why Harry feels so guilty. He regrets ever making that deal to begin with, because Aven is literally his whole world now
