Writing has become my outlet since 2019. It carried me through my darkest moments, heartbreaks, and the isolation of the pandemic. Hindi ‘to basta hobby lang or pampalipas oras kung bored ako, ito ang nagsalba saakin sa lahat ng oras na kailangan kong tumayo mag-isa.
          
          My vocabulary, style, and voice are products of my degree that revolves around English, my training in campus journalism, and years of writing articles and poetry. HINDI PO ITO GAWA GAWA NG ILLUMINATI HAHAHA. Dismissing my craft with disrespectful remarks and assumptions is a direct insult to my journey and my identity as a writer.
          
          Moreso than feedback, I value respect. I can accept honest critiques, pero iba ang pambabastos sa ilang taon kong pagsusulat. If you don't like my work, simply scroll away and do not read further.

Well, adulthood was really a pain in the ass. I just got home from a very thorough evaluation of my qualifications. It is really heartbreaking to see how govt jobs tend to be unfair even when everyone is looking. I have been patiently waiting since 7:00 am and when it was finally my turn at 4:00 pm they didn't even try to hide their indifference and not even a hint of welcoming glance at my portfolio. They did not ask my capabilities, my strengths, nor pay any mind to how everything inside my folder is well curated. 
          
          Nakakasuka ang sistema. I can't believe I poured my heart and soul to finish a degree because I was told that when I finally did, everything will fall into place. Pero ang totoo, walang fairness sa loob ng bansa na mas matimbang na ang may backer kaysa sa mga may potential. 
          
          Due to this frustrating event. I will be writing something a little spicy for everyone. What a unique way of releasing frustration, yes?

Morning jog by the coastal road of Davao, feeling refreshed and maybe even publish a new chapter? hmm  

My phone was stolen at the airport before I even landed in Davao. All my rough drafts for upcoming chapters, story ideas, and even the TikTok account and edits I used to promote this book were on that device. While writing on my laptop during the flight, all I had to work with were the scattered bits and pieces left in my head to bridge the plot. Because of this, I sincerely apologize for any inconsistencies or errors you might find in the upcoming chapters. I hope for your kind understanding and maybe a phone sponsor? Adulthood has its ways to be a little comedic. Due to weather, my prior appointment got postponed until further notice. I will continue drafting the next chapters then, fake news everyone! HAHAHA
