I was hoping to publish the next chapter of "The Sun, the Moon, and All Our Stars" before school started, but I just wasn't able to make it happen. My goal is to finish it by the end of next weekend. Chapter 28 marks the end of the first story arc; I figured if work required me to take a short break, it might be a good time to do so. I'll keep everyone updated! And by the way, the first day of school went quite well - it's just chaotic this time of year and a tough transition for me. I miss summer already!

Yesterday I published what I (and my husband, my beta editor) consider my best chapter ever! If you aren't aware, what I'm posting here on Wattpad is actually a rewrite/edit of The Sun, the Moon, and All My Stars. I'm not always very kind to myself/positive about my stories (I can be quite humble or even down on myself sometimes), but I truly believe that, upon comparing my original chapter to the updated one, that it reflects major progress as a writer. Just as a heads-up to anyone who's read the original: this updated chapter features some significant changes that will affect the plot going forward. It's intense and provides insight into Sebastian's dangerous work as a double-agent working to bring down a Dark wizarding gang from the inside. I hope you have a chance to check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!

@Mariane816 Thank you for mentioning that! So many stories feature Sebastian with a hotheaded, badass, superpowered love interest. I think Sebastian definitely can pair well with someone who bests him in duels, but sometimes a fiery character doesn't balance well with another just like them (one example: Katniss and Gale from The Hunger Games). I still enjoy reading fanfics like that (don't get me wrong!), but it seemed that stories like mine, in which Sebastian finds romance with someone who is calm and level-headed, were missing. For me, it's all about achieving harmony. After being put through the wringer, Seb deserves peace, love, and devotion from someone extraordinarily caring. Even though Kate probably seems simple compared to so many MCs, she's a good fit for him. They both love to read and learn new things, value loyalty and family, and totally match each other's freak 😉. They have a lot to offer each other. I could go on and on about this, but I suppose I'll stop here. 😂

@sunnyrealist  I didn't read the original version, but I love that you're continuing the story.  And it's nice to have a female protagonist that isn't a total "badass".  I enjoy that's she's just a sweet, normal person.

After lots of ups and downs in my personal life, I've finally posted the next chapter of The Sun, the Moon, and All Our Stars. It's been about a year, and I feel extremely guilty over the length of the hiatus and, in addition, a strong sense of relief to be back on the journey. I appreciate your patience and hope you'll join me once again.

@lilac-ravenclaw Thanks!!! I'm a teacher and school's starting up again, so I needed to have a "happy place" to return to, I think. I've been at this job long enough that I'm not insanely stressed (yet), but it's nice knowing I have something fun to do after work that also provides a sense of purpose.

Hiiiii! I wanted to send a little update. After finishing Mapping Your Love, I had to spend some time grading (final exam time was ROUGH this year). I've spent a bit of time focusing on other hobbies, and I'm ready to return to The Sun, the Moon, and All Our Stars. I'm hoping to have new chapter (well, a rewritten chapter since on AO3 I'm technically in the 70s) within the next two weeks. Cheers!

Wow - it has been a LONG time since I posted an announcement on here! I haven't posted anything new because I've been working on a collaborative fic called True North since August. Starting tomorrow (Thursday, Dec. 11th), I will begin to publish the chapters I wrote for the story as a stand-alone Ominis x OC fic. It's called Mapping Your Love. I'm so, so, so excited to send it out into the world. I hope you'll give my fluffy Christmas romance a read!

A couple updates!
          
          - I'm starting to write Chapter 22 and hopefully will have it posted this weekend!
