My surgery will be on the 15th of sept thank you all for your kind messages it makes me feel so happy to know there's people who care, enhypens album is in less than 24 hours. This will be my last request but please boycott it. If ur a fan who wants to see the members happy and not faking everything then please. I know some of you think its making them work more but we need to think logically here. We can complain all we want about how enhypen is being mistreated to hybe but it'll never work unless we boycott and show we are not enjoying. Yes, success matters. of course it does. enhypen being commercially valuable gives them power, but commersial success does not automatically mean good contract conditions, nor does one comeback determine their entire negotiating position. Their leverage is made up of so much more than that: years of established success, touring deman, fandom size, brand value, individual value, the revenue they already generate, how dependent the company is on them, what alternatives they have and YES HOW THE CONSUMERS REACT when the company makes decisions they strongly oppose.
So, fan pressure is leverage too. and that is the part this whole "dont boycott it'll worse for them." mentality completely ignores.
If the compant makes desisions that cause months of anger, protests and distrusts, and then still receive that still receives the same exact amount of streams. sales and engagement when the comeback arrives...
What exactly tells them that anything needs to change???
NOTHING.
We can scream "we're unhappy" every, damn, single day, but companies will always pay attention to the consumer behaviour.
Our actions are basically screaming "We will support whatever you release regardless", why would they read that as pressure?
