so my parents are lowkey racist? uhm idk what to do, I think itās more micro-aggressions but like they just donāt see how wrong it is to think and then talk like that and tbh idk how to speak up about it cause like one time they said such an absurd thing and I was so baffled that I couldnāt talk for a long minute, like does anyone know what to? I just want them to see that they shouldnāt think and talk the way they do and yeah, and in theory i donāt want to be related with people that say these kinds of things (maybe Iām making it a bigger deal than it is) but I still love them at the same time. I just hate when they talk about people like they are less human or less deserving of something just because they have a different skin colour or culture or religion than us (the absurd thing is that my parents arenāt even religious? like why do you have a problem with other religions) plus like theyāre left leaning in most things in politics but then pull something like āyou should never hire someone who is wearing a hijab in their photo on their job profileā or another one āas soon as their name sounds Arabic you donāt hire themā like what the fuck is wrong with my parents bro
@hyucksunshinee thank you so much, I always try to drop subtle hints for them or try to get them to understand what they say isnāt really moral in any way and honestly I think itās kinda working, like my mom seems to be aware of what sheās saying so yeah. I think I kind of blew it out of proportion? Like I only notice the bad things they say if that makes sense but theyāve also said good things about immigrants and stuff, I think itās just a really important topic to me so I kinda made a gigantic deal out of it which wouldnāt have been that crazy and sometimes I hope Iām just missing context tbh
@sunoosgossipbuddy that's so fucked up honestly, i see it sometimes living in a germanic/scandinavian country, especially with the older generations (thankfully not anyone in my family). It's honestly just sad that some people have that prejudice, and especially sad that it has to be your parents:((( it's completely valid to feel this way love ā¤ļø
@Loliii_11 no no, donāt worry it didnāt sound like that at all, I actually had a long talk with my sister about I and I think sheās thought about it a lot because she had a lot of advice and explained their way of thinking, so I understand their way of thinking now, but like I donāt yk encourage it? Idk how to say it like I now understand the way they think but I donāt agree with it if that makes sense

quick question is 16 and 18 a bad age gap? cause like idk it seems fine but then also oneof them is an adult and the other is still a minor, but they arenāt like sexually involved with each other as long as and probably a bit more as the 16 year old is still a minor (wonāt write those scenes anyway cause Iād prolly be bad at it and itās kinda uncomfortable you get what I mean, at least for me)

guys should the love interest for aera be sunghoon or jake? cause tbh it has been a really long time since i started planning the storyline and characters out in my head and it had always been sunghoon (even tho he was never my bias, it just made sense like their characters being together yk) but cause jake is now my bias idk. also iām thinking of making the love interest jungwon because heās been bias wrecking me lately and cause aera and him are born in the same year and the other two are older, which could be a problem at least at the start of the story cause aera is still a minor when she debuted in 2018 (i donāt remember if they debuted in 18 or 19, which is weird cause itās my story) so yeah idk, because of that maybe just make the love interest jungwon? in my head sunoo is her bestie along with the rest of the maknae line (so jungwon and niki) so iām not sure if i should change anything. tbh iām still kind of leaning towards sunghoon cause it has just always been him right, but yeah anygays let me know what you think (if youāre reading this, cause lowkey iām not surely anyone is even interested in this) anygays

@sunoosgossipbuddy no i get that, i think that its a diff time thing bc my parents are immigrants themselves and say all sorts of things abt assimilation or very stereotypical things. I think that that doenst make you a bad person bc micro-aggressions are very common, but i think its a thing thats perpetuated by mass media. Its easier to condition older gens like this bc thats what their always taught.
