"From that time on, the world was hers for the reading. She would never be lonely again, never miss the lack of intimate friends. Books became her friends and there was one for every mood." - Betty Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

If I could spend my whole life somewhere it would be a movie theater. There is no sense of the outside world once you step inside those darkened walls. Only the candy sweet smell of popcorn and the ability to lose yourself in whatever world that's playing on the screen.

I have a deep love for broken things, all monstrous beings, those who corrupt their souls to keep us safe, the soldiers cursed to fight in the darkness so we may live in the light.

I am afraid of heights. No, that's not true. I am afraid of falling. But every night when I close my eyes I dream of flying.

I am a dreamer who forgot she was supposed to be living. My head is flying high above the clouds sitting in the cockpit of a F-14 Tomcat, but my feet are planted firmly on the ground.
