hyperfixating on balatro is great because you get:
          
          - highly addictive game that scratches all the itches in your brain
          - the satisfying feeling when the numbers multiply and you win
          - “one more game before I go to sleep”
          - creating personalities for the jokers (and kind of projecting onto them?) because you are going insane

there are 8 works on ao3 for the silly card game I am addicted to (balatro)

unpopular opinion: it is useless arguing about the most “canon” ship in persona games
          
          like PLEASE STOP FIGHTING!! the point of the game is to choose who you romance, which means no ship is more “canon” than the other. yes, you are allowed to have your favorite ship or romance route. but it being more “canon” than the others? that is totally subjective.
          
          this also includes non-romanceable routes! I could argue that the ships are just as “canon”. just because two characters don’t kiss or do anything outwardly romantic doesn’t stop certain subtext from existing. it all depends on how someone reads into it. you could see it as purely platonic, or see a romantic side to it as well.
          
          (and that concludes another one of my yap sessions.)
