@suspense Hi, River! Another big gamer who writes a lot and is a friend is Ed Greenwood. He was creator of the Forgotten Realms setting in which many authors now write. He was also the creator of the game Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Seriously into gaming and has written over 200 books as well as short stories, articles, etc. Very successful. If you have read Jim Butcher, (Harry Dresden series) he was into role playing games as a teenager, too, so you can look up these guys as well. Good luck!

The two authors I read for, Steven Erikson and Ian C. Esslemont, both started their writing careers role-playing in their creation of their Malazan Empire. Steve said he liked the way the story varied from what he expected, depending on who he gamed with. If you haven't read anything by them, check them out! Thanks again and good luck with your writing!
