hi guys! i’ve missed you. i’m sorry it’s been a while since my last upload. unfortunately, a close family member of mine passed away recently, so i’ve been quite preoccupied with that at the moment, which has admittedly taken me away from writing for the time being. 
          	i am of course still working on the next chapter, it’s just taking a while to get here. as always, you know i’d never leave you guys hanging, so i aim to get it out as soon as possible. 
          	also! i wanted to float an idea past you all. i’ve been toying with the possibility of a prequel - i’ve always wanted to write about y/n’s past, and her growing up through the military, but just wasn’t sure if it would interest anyone/would involve enough of the current characters enough to pique enough intrigue. please let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in, as i’d certainly love to write about her time as commander. it would of course involve newt and their relationship before the glade, but wouldn’t really involve characters like bren or vince for instance, which is a shame as i do love them. 
          	let me know your thoughts, and i’ll see you all soon.

i'm sorry for your loss, take as much time as you need for yourself, this book isn't the most the most valuable thing in the world. As for the prequel, it sounds fun! I'd be up to read it
