No matter how much money and time i spend reading popular published books, nothing hits the same as any of your stories. I think i come back every month to reread most of them. The joy that possesses me when i get a notification that you’ve updated. I truly am amazed by your work. I do understand the lack of time and the importance of your private life, i just need to ask for reccomendations that are similair to your work? You’re amazing at what you doo

Hi ! I just wanted to say I really love your books each have their own unique meaning that makes it so beautiful to read or imagine. I am a obsessed with your works. I'm an beginning author and I would really like some advice on how to gain an audience and anything in general. Thank you so much<33

@Bossbear111 thank you and thanks for following! I’m not sure this is the answer you’re looking for, but if I’m to be completely honest I didn’t try to build an audience. I just wrote for the sake of writing and eventually people started to find my work. If you write what you enjoy then people will be able to feel that when they read it. Rather than focusing on the audience aspect, just put your heart into the writing aspect!

On a more practical advice note, sticking to one or two stories at a time, and releasing chapters consistently probably helps (though I’m pretty bad at the latter!)

            I hope that helped!

so the world cup has officially come to a close, and I know it's a time of excitement for many, but it's also a time of fear for many others.

as a UK native, it's absolutely harrowing that domestic violence incidents increase by 38% when the national team loses and, even when they win, domestic violence incidents increase by 26%

so while not all of my followers are from the UK, I just wanted to put the message out there and hopefully encourage some of you who are able to to donate to charities in your area/country to do so!

beyond that, FIFA made the decision this year not to ban Israel while the genocide of Palestinians continues. it's absolutely nauseating that they believe a fine is an adequate punishment for the atrocities that have been committed.

as I said, I know this is a time of excitement for many, and I don't usually make posts like this, but it really is incredibly important

thank you very much for reading. if you have the means to donate to either of the above causes, even if only a small amount, I really encourage you to do so. I hope you're all safe and well,

          Alex <3

@swallowedhearts thank you for speaking up about this. i only recently learned about the domestic violence cases in uk increasing during world cup, genuinely messed up and i will be praying for everyone's safety. and yes it's truly disgusting that fifa has no problem with letting r*pist and zionists participate

hello! i just wanted to leave something here praising your works. I think your work on here is some of the best i've ever read. Your writing has a flair to it that I can't really explain, but whenever I read something of yours I get this vicarious feeling like I'm actually living in one of your character's heads.

Usually when i read novels that are realistic fiction, it's hard for me to transport myself into the world of the novel---that only really happens with fantasy. But your works make it so easy to transport myself into someone else's head, the description and writing is so vivid it's almost impossible to not be in that world.

Your writing also hooks me on every single word, I savor every single sentence (this is super rare for me, i usually skim read stuff). Another part of your writing that amazes me is whenever I finish one of your works, i get this melancholy feeling because it's over.

I would like to also add that your word choice is immaculate, your writing is so graceful while being able to capture every emotion, your use of figurtive language and literary devices is also flawless. I think you have such a gift for writing and I really hope you never give it up even if you lose your spark sometimes!

Also curious if you would do something humanities related in the future because you would definetly excel at that. I will def start reading some of the poetry mentioned in The Best of Us because it sounds very intriging.

Anyway, just wanted to give you some love and I do want to let you know that you have such a breathtaking touch with words, I think you're the most memorable author I've read on this platform. Wish you best of luck! <3

@yougotgaslighted hello, lovely! first of all, thank you so much. that's such a huge compliment and such high praise that I don't even know where to start.

it's so encouraging and reassuring to hear that you feel that kind of connection to my characters and their experiences because that's always a top priority for me when I'm writing them. it matters a great deal to me that you take your time in such a way when you're reading my work and that you enjoy the time that you spend with my characters <3

and as a relentless self-doubter, your comment on my word choices is really important to me because I always try my best to strike an exact mood and it's something I often struggle with. sometimes I'll revise chapters over and over, and still second-guess myself, so for you to say something like that really means the world :')

most (if not all haha) of my passions fall under the humanities blanket and as I'm coming to the final year of my degree I'm definitely starting to think a lot more about what I want to do. I'm currently working in the legal sector, but in terms of career I'm not so sure it's where I want to stay, so there's definitely an interesting journey ahead haha. thank you so much for your encouragement!

that brings me so much joy! I hope you're able to find some that you love and, even if it's from poetry not mentioned in TBOU, I'd love to hear about any that meant a lot to you.

reading your lovely words has absolutely made my day. thank you so so so much for your wonderful reassurance and for taking the time to write me something so kind, all my love and best wishes to you <3

@swallowedhearts I FOUND THIS SONG CALLED UNETHICAL BY FAOUZIA AND IT REMINDS ME SO SO SO SO MUCH OF RODNEY AND ROMEO!!!! please give it a listen whenever you can it's so fitting AHSJSJJS. i love your works so much they're beautiful. i discovered you a year ago almost exactly and I started rereading the best of us again. im mesmerised every single time. i think the best of us really shaped me as a person because i discovered mary oliver and troublemaker because of it. it's my favourite song now. i bought every poetry book by mary oliver and eventually ventured out to read edna st vincent millay, rilke, neruda, wordsworth and such and such. other than mary oliver and neruda, I've really enjoyed exupery. letter to a hostage is one of the most beautiful things I've ever read. i just started reading camus and isaiah berlin. the hedgehog and the fox is so beautiful i just love it. all of this led me to get deeper into sociology and philosophy. god it's just so captivating. i've been meaning to post something like this for quite a while to let you know how much i appreciate your work. thanks you to you and your wonderful writing and the wonderful references in your writing for making my life so much better. im sincerely a more interesting person because of you. do you have an instagram page for your devotees to follow? let me know!

@peanut_helpme though i will admit i do have a tendency to get ahead of myself, then become overwhelmed with all the ideas I have and all the things I want to do!!

i think once i learn to focus on one thing at a time, i'll actually be able to write as much as i feel like as opposed to just mentally shutting down hahah

there are so many things i want to do with my writing and the thought of self-publishing currently terrifies me but it's definitely something that i think i'll be aiming for in the future!! it means a lot to me that you would like to have a physical copy of something I've written and should I ever go through with it, you'll be the first to know <3

thank you so so so so much for your loveliness. i'm so sorry that this response was so late, it always feels a little tough to break a hiatus once it's been started. i really appreciate this more than i can tell you. i'll be revisiting your messages every time I begin to doubt myself again, your encouragement has meant and continues to mean the entire world to me.

whatever subject you decide to pursue for your degree, i hope it makes you very happy and fulfilled. thank you again, angel <3

@peanut_helpme IM SO LATE BC I DISAPPEARED FROM WP FOR A FEW MONTHS BUT IM BACK NOW AND I THINK ABOUT THESE MESSAGES ALL THE TIME!!!

I will 100% listen to Porcelain, I've been listening to her ever since u initially recommended her songs and I can't thank u enough for that rec because her music is just so wow

it's really difficult for me to even find words to adequately reply to your kindness. all I can say is I really hope you know how much your lovely messages have impacted me and how they've helped me get back to writing again after taking such a long hiatus. I didn't write for months and months, and your encouragement meant so much to me when it came to easing back into things and learning not to be too cruel/critical with what I write. I think I'm finally starting to take a step forward to the mindset of writing for the sake of writing as opposed to always trying to write something 'perfect' and your kindness has been a massive part of that. thank you so much <3

I hope you enjoyed The Stranger, it's a book I constantly revisit. And I've never read his letters, but I absolutely will!! I purchased The Fall and The First Man a couple of months ago and still have to yet to read them, but devouring anything Camus is always on my mind haha

and wow I don't even know what to say!! the fact that my writing could have enough of an impact to even make you consider it an influence in your degree options is such an honour. whether you decide to pursue it at degree level or not, I hope its a passion that you continue to explore because it's such an endlessly fascinating subject and it does so much to help us understand the world and people around us :')

I've finally started to get around to writing again now and revisited my ko-fi today after an absence. I've already been thinking about what little things I can post and planning out chapters for my ongoing books, and have tons of (hopefully) future stories swirling around my head all the time :')

@swallowedhearts THIS IS GETTING VERY LONG i will wrap this up

in my defense, you must understand that i've been meaning to send you such a message for six something months now.

as a devout reader, of course i religiously follow your ko-fi. i'm really excited for whatever (if) you post in the summer!! you should absolutely make a personalised space and i would be so intrepid as to suggest that you should seriously consider publishing someday. selfishly, i am motivated by the prospect of having physical copies of your works if nothing else.

and it makes me so happy that this message brought you joy, especially since you're usually the one whose writing touches my heart.

i saw that i had gotten a comment on my feed from you about the book, and i was confused as to why you thought i didnt like it! i realized that i has put it in the wrong list, and it might have shown as disliked :(

          i did fix that lol
keep up the amazing writing, and starting "love thy neighbor" today~

@byebyezeze hi my love!!! I’m so so sorry for such a late response!!!

This is such a sweet and encouraging message, and I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed reading about Max and Cole!! That’s no worries at all, not every book is for every person and I was just looking for constructive criticism in case you had any :’) I’m so happy to hear that you did enjoy it, but even if you didn’t, absolutely no hard feelings <3

And thank you so much for reading Love Thy Neighbour, too!! Your support of my work is so appreciated and the fact that you took the time to read both and leave such a kind message means the entire world :’)

Your loveliness has made my night so much better and I can’t thank you enough!! I’m so sorry again for such a late response!

just finished love thy neighbor.... the best bxb book ive read on wattpad.

absolutely perfect, cant complain. i might have cried (not might, i did) and cried a even more when it ended. your writing shows the true purpose of being an author -- which is channeling your emotions into written art to share with others and make them feel them feels.

keep up the AMAZING WRITING, and im really looking forward to read more of your works soon~
