            the intensity of his presence didn't seem to bother her all that much. her expression only shifted to make room for an amused smile to form as she watched him struggle through whatever conflicting feelings were bubbling just underneath his skin.  she tilted her head , scoffing . 
            
            " that society ? where the fuck do you think i'm from , love ? " she asked , unable to stop herself from doubling over slightly in laughter. she quickly straightened herself up , fanning a hand in front of her face trying to rid her complexion of the amused flush that had seeped colour into her cheeks . " not typically the living ones , no " she commented , her attention shifting slightly , trying to read his expression , morbid curiosity forming in a bit deep inside her stomach. " you should always be worried when you turn your back on me . bite or otherwise " 
            
            / oh god , that'd be scary 

⠀⠀⠀  ⠀ [⠀⠀⠀  the credence of nerves pressed by the foolish action of this woman, truly rendered him speechless. spreading his fingers wide, he inspected the bite. little crescents of teeth stood reddened against the side of his palm. the man wiped his hand slowly against the rough fabric of his thigh, jaw shifting once whilst cold eyes levelled upon her again. there lingered disbelief there, but something darker too. a dangerous sort of amusement struggling beneath restraint. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀]
            
            ⠀⠀⠀  yeah? that what they teach you in that society? tear into humans and feed on their flesh. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀[⠀⠀⠀  wülfric’s throaty voice dropped near the end, edged by a low rasp as he stepped closer. broad frame eclipsed part of the dim light between them whilst his gaze flicked once more toward the mark she’d left behind. tongue pressed briefly against the inside of his cheek. ⠀⠀⠀  ]
            
            ⠀⠀⠀ should i be worried you’ll take another bite if i turn my back on you?
            
            
            /    God forbid she ever does, he’s going to abduct her and send her to ETs cell at his base. shsjsjsjsns.

            jane sighed and shrugged , wiping the corner of her mouth with her thumb , glancing down at it briefly before wiping it absentmindedly on the leg of her trousers . " curiosity love , that and ...well hunger " she mused , not seeming to care all that much about concealing her motivations " relax , you're fine. its not like i ripped your arm off , which i absolutely could've done by the way "

            " nothing that you should waste any time concerning yourself with . " jane snapped , tossing her head back in an attempt to free the strands of hair that stuck flat to her forehead , eventually caving and lifting a hand to swipe them free . she cursed under her breath , silently willing the shaking in her shoulders to stop but she had no such luck . " i'm perfectly fine . "

            " of course i'm judging. at least it's unconventional reasons . " jane pointed out with a half hearted shrug , her head dropping to the side , tilting slightly as she offered a wide grin . " tradition ? judged often are we ? what a shame . " 
            
            she watched his gaze shift in almost nervous silence , sure what she had just witnessed was no better than what she intended to do but a woman could never be too sure . never too sure what move could end up being the wrong one. 
            
            it didn't take long for her to catch on to his curiosity , chuckling quietly under her breath " say what you're wanting to say . i can practically hear the questions dancing about in your head . " she pointed out , teeth catching at her bottom lip , sharp , like his fangs , only if every single one was a fang . she shook her head , wiping a hand over her face , offering another smile , teeth returning to normal. " you're dangerous..." she pointed out , amused. 
            
            " really ? for little old me ? how lucky i am . " she played along , a hand placed over her unbeating heart , mocking humility and gratitude . 
            
            " good , because i'm rarely inclined to do my own dirty work . so thank you , darling . you really are a gem " she smiled , patting his chest gently " my hero . "

            Kol’s grin sharpened almost immediately at that “ah,” he mused, “so you /are/ judging me. Here I was beginning to think we’d lost all sense of tradition.”
            
            His eyes followed hers when they drifted back toward the body, catching the hunger there long before she looked back at him. The restless shift beneath her skin wasn’t subtle either. Not to him. Interesting.
            
            Kol tilted his head slightly, studying her with open curiosity now rather than casual amusement. Most people looked at corpses with fear, disgust, or regret. She looked at it like she was waiting for permission.
            
            That alone earned more of his attention than anything else in the room. At her question, his gaze flicked briefly downward toward the body before returning to her. A slow smile spread across his face, dangerous in the way only an Original could manage.
            
            “Darling,” he said smoothly, stepping back with a small, theatrical gesture of invitation, “be my guest” a faint laugh escaped him as he folded his arms loosely across his chest.
            
            “I’m rarely selfish with things I’ve already finished playing with.”

            jane smiled , lifting her head slightly when she realised he had been talking to her. she pouted , pressing a hand to her chest as she faked a gasp , mocking offense . " judgement ? me ? " she would ask with an incredulous expression. " i mean yes , slightly . the word discreet is clearly not in your vocabulary " she pointed out with a chuckle . 
            
            a soft hum escaped her as she curled a finger around a strand of her hair , her attention falling from him to the body like it had done several times . she clearly was not discreet either , in her own way . she shifted , like she was itching , like there was something just beneath her skin pleading to be set free . there was a hunger in her pale blue eyes as she wrenched her gaze back to him , old and primal . " are you done with that , darling ? " she would ask , crossing her arms over her chest .

            she raised a brow , unable to stifle the laughter that escaped her " someone's passionate . " she pointed out , sliding off the table , landing with a gentle thud . " i like it . " she mused , crossing the distance between them with a gentle hum . quietly she reached out , not touching the dagger itself , her hand resting on the underside of his wrist , lifting slightly to allow the light to better catch the blade " i'm impressed. " she responded , eyes wild with fascination " i prefer to forgo weapons at all but it's all a little messy . " 
            
            / ahh i'm glad to hear that . i'm good , very stressed , i graduate in a couple of months so i'm a bit all over the place . mostly good though

“ i love that question. ” he practically gushes. “ i’m just a man with an affinity for weapons. i prefer a timeless classic. ” a dagger appear in his hand, wielding it like it was his most prized possession, because it was. his dagger was linked to him, even from his hellish departure. he smiles, proud. “ beautiful, isn’t it? ”
