Admin: Updated backstory for dear Poppy!
Originally from Buckland, Poppy lost her parents to the Old Forest (most likely eaten by Old Man Willow) and her grandfather nearly lost his sanity along with them.
A more peaceful life for them seemed to wait in the Shire, away from the forest that had caused so much pain. For the next fifteen years, Poppy became her grandfather's caretaker and tended to the family tea shop.
She's quite proud of her Buckland heritage and all the "strangeness" that comes with it: almost never seen without her beloved heeled boots, constantly talking about how much she loves swimming and sailing and insisting her door is locked at night.
At only 31, she acts more like she's reached middle age and never had the reckless tweens that seemed common for others.
How did she find herself with the Fellowship? At the insistence of her grandfather who overheard of the plan and wanted her to have a life outside of caring for him.
