lets not stop talking ab how unfairly America Chavez was cast pls,, as a huge young avengers stan seeing only half of her character’s ethnicity being shown is so disappointing, not to mention they cast a younger actress just to erase America being a lesbian for as long as they can.

like kate and america have pretty flirtatious banter in the comics at times and are best friends, but all that is likely gonna be erased bc of the huge age gap between their actresses. idk it’s just really irritating as someone in the lgbtq community to see a character who means so much to the community have their sexuality so openly erased to fit a predominantly straight male audience.
